2011 Ford GT500 Deals?

Curious to know what I could expect to pay for a new 2011 GT500 with the SVT package. I don't have to have it NOW, so I can definitely wait around for a good deal. But I'm definitely not paying MSRP or over MSRP, so if I have to wait, I'll wait.

Anyway, does anyone know of a person that has bought a 2011 GT500 recently and how much they paid for it?

There are never deals on halo cars. Cobra, Shelby, Viper, Corvette, etc are always excluded from dealer specials. Plenty of people in line to pay $20,000 over msrp if you don't want to. When I was looking at 2003 Cobras when the dealers had them, they wouldn't even let you test drive unless you were buying it.

Best bet is 1-2 yrs used for a car like that if you don't want to pay full price.

Things have changed a lot then from when you got yours. I was able to get my Vette for around 9k below sticker in February and the month after, GMAC was offering 72 months 0% APR. The Ford dealers around here are dealing on the 2011 Mustang, GT and GT500. You can get a GT for $2k below sticker and probably that same for a GT500 without too much work. There are also 2010's on the lots taking up space.

Yep, the guy I work with bought a 2011 CS GT for I believe $4K off MSRP. As for the GT500, I think it would be a matter of finding a dealer willing to deal. Some refuse to budge off MSRP, some may. I guess it would be a matter of how long the car has been sitting there.

+1 for the dealer. The local dealer was giving me the "price adjustment" bullshit." I just said ok and left and got my car for below msrp including ttl, etc... at another dealer.

Exactly! I've seen dealers sell ABOVE MSRP for hot sellers (this was Pearson Ford in San Diego many years ago). IMO not worth haggling when you start above MSRP, because there are usually other dealers willing to deal starting at MSRP.

Unless... the car was a REALLY hot seller in limited quantities. It also can vary depending on the area. For instance I was looking at the Mazdaspeed 3 (before I bought my Mazdaspeed 6) and the nearby dealers were locked at MSRP because they were selling every one they could get their hands on. However, about 60 miles away the dealers were willing to go a bit below, or throw in some freebies because the same models weren't moving as fast.

There are 0% deals on Corvettes right now (or at least last week when I looked). They don't apply to the Z06/ZR1 of course but 0% on a GS is pretty sweet.

The local Ford dealer was trying to ask $10K over sticker on a Raptor but came off it in a hurry when we objected.

Definitely deals to be had, I just hope they're still around next spring/summer when I'm ready to replace the Mustang.

What kind of Vette? Base models and even the Z06 can be negotiated easily. Good luck on a ZR1 in most markets.

I am wondering if you just hit Edmunds.com for a 2010 GT500 TMV as average is $2k below sticker there. However, that doesn't work in all markets and defintely not going to work on the 2011 when they hit. The 2011 GT500 is going to have a ton of demand due to all the major changes it's getting. I am willing to bet many even trading in their new 2010's for one. Later in the year, depending on inventory you will probably see them fall below sticker at least here in S. Florida.

You can get $15k off 2011 ZR1. I saw that around Labor Day. I suspect you'll see $20k off by year end.

$10k off all 2011 ZR1 at this dealer. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-dealer-inventory/2684488-all-2011-zr1s-are-10-000-off-msrp-at-macmulkin-chevrolet.html

OP, check ebay to get idea on prices and check various mustang forums for supporting dealer prices. I doubt GT500 are selling well.
