2011 Ford Escape AC problems

I have a 2011 Ford Escape, I've had every dealer recommended service done on time but here in the last week ive started having trouble with the AC. It comes on about 10 seconds after the car starts then blows cold air for 10-15 seconds and then starts blowing warmish air. After driving for a few minutes it starts blowing cold again and then goes right back off after a few seconds.

Its under warranty and I have a scheduled visit to the dealer, but that's two weeks away. I've checked the air filter and while there were some big bugs in it that I've now removed it still hasn't made a difference.

Anyone have some ideas as to what could cause this? I've heard thermostat but Im wondering what that entails repair wise and cost wise in case warranty doesnt cover it. Or if there is something else that it could be,

Just an update, this morning my car was spitting snow at me when i used the AC, does this change the possible causes or at least lower the amount of possible issues?

Any of this.

Can't be the thermostat, if it was causing an A/C problem it'd be because the engine was running hot.

Take it to the dealer. You say you've had them do all the work on it, anyway. This isn't the repair to start learning how to "DIY" on.

Oh for sure, Im absolutely not going to DIY it by any means. The appt is just weeks away and I was hoping to at least know what to expect and possibly learn a bit about how the whole system works.

My Suburban will blow fog out when it's just right. Haven't seen snowflakes yet, though.

The AC is most defiinitely not kicking ass...licking on the other hand....

Ugh, its been so humid and hot lately, I dont think it could have picked a worse time to die.
