Wow, even your Googling has failed. I'll give you a few more hours to find WTF I'm actually talking about and hang your head in shame.
Do you own a Lexus, or any other car for that matter? Most people like you are just insanely jealous fangirls who are so obsessed with having something they turn into frothing morons. Then you have a few like Louissssss who sucked tail pipe for too long and became brainwashed. Which is it?

I'm sorry you fail to comprehend English.

Yes, I can tell you the right terms to Google, but that would be too sad.

Here's a hint: a key word rhymes with "Tie".

haha... oh please al'mighty google master, show me the way.

seriously get the stick out of your ass... if you have something to prove contradictory of the jalopnik article then post it. Stop acting like an elitist prick.

I don't own a Lexus and they don't make anything I would want to own, except maybe the LS, which is a good value compared to the 7 and S.

Boom, there goes your theory.

so the answer is no, you don't own a lexus, and they conveniently "don't make anything (you) would want to own"... LOL

now was that so hard? I know it may be hard for you to imagine, but not everyone knows everything about lexus, that is why they read forums and articles online

Correct, aside from the LS (for its price) and LF-A (which is just a desirable car period for enthusiasts, ignoring the price).

Everything else they make is outclassed (except the LX aka Toyota Land Cruiser, but I have no interest in those vehicles):

GS - 5 and E beats it
ES - Looks good but it's a Camry
IS - 3 series, C, and even the A4 drive better. M3 > IS-F. C63 > IS-F.

First off, there will be only 500 LFAs, total, for the entire world, and they will be produced from December 2010 through December 2012 at the rate of approximately twenty per month. Lexus just announced the LFA officially at the Tokyo Motor Show this week, and in so doing also launched a process whereby potential buyers can express their interest in the car through an official channel. In the United States, anyone who is interested in buying an LFA must call a toll-free number: 866-LFA-4794. Operators will conduct a brief questionnaire to find out a bit about the person; why they are interested in the LFA; how they tend to use their cars, etc., and register the caller as a potentially interested customer. People can also visit the LFA Web site for complete information on the car: www.lexus-lfa.com. The phone line will be open for three months, from mid-October 2009 to mid-January 2010. At that time, Lexus expects to have a sizable list of potential buyers.

Lexus will vet potential customers and choose a mix of people who they feel will help publicize the car. “We would prefer to have people who are driving the car or are influential in their community,” says Paul Rohovsky of Lexus marketing, “as opposed to somebody who wants to collect it and keep it in a private collection, never to see the light of day. We want to get those cars out and exposed.”

A specific number of cars has not been allocated for the United States. The U.S. allocation will come down to the level of interest in compared with the many other countries where the car will also be offered for sale.

Once a potential buyer is approved, they’ll be hooked up with a dealer and one of fifteen specialized Lexus sales consultants, who will help them spec out their car and take their $10,000 deposit. Buyers will be able to choose from some 30 exterior paint colors and a multitude of interior Alcantara and leather combinations.
To be accurate, Lexus' one-time marketing blitz called the LFA can choose its customers. Lexus cannot. In fact, Lexus & Toyota seem to be missing their customers right about now...

Uh... yea... let's just get this straight:

1) Lexus interiors = top notch. If you disagree, you are blind.

2) You don't get to buy a $300K Lexus even if you wanted to. Lexus chooses buyers like Harvard chooses students.

Make anything exclusive and you will have buyers even if they're not worth the money.

amazing how things can get sidetracked... but what you quoted I saw the exact same thing on corvetteforum.

Another rumor i heard, was that the zr1 would be discontinued, the z06 will still be around, and the z07 would be an upgrade package to the z06. The package would consist of the F55 suspension, ceramic breaks, and more carbon fiber parts from the ZR1.

I think it's all her-say atm, and in the next few months we will learn a lot more. I wouldn't be surprised if the z06 goes unchanged for next year minus a couple new colors and minor tweaks.

edit: there were some pictures of the new z06/z07 floating around, but I think chevy got their hands on them (at least the ones on corvetteforum). The car was spotted in bowling green, KY and was orange in color. but not Atomic Orange or DSOM... a different orange...

The interior in my Jetta looks and feels nicer than an IS, sorry

I've always held that Corvette should be spun off into it's own brand (even though it has it's own badge and logo, so it partially has).

Somehow, GM is keeping it a Chevy to bolster Chevys's brand, but it holds down the Corvette from gaining more respect among consumers.

In any case, Corvette's badly need a overhaul of the body to keep up with the times. It isn't a bad looking car by any means, but it simply doesn't have the visual punch as modern day vehicles.

When the 2011 Kia Optima arrives looking better than a Corvette, it will be quite a sad day.

Well the next gen Chevy small block is close to release, they're testing a 5.5L version in the GT racing IIRC. The Corvette still has to keep up with emissions and even though its fuel efficiency is quite good, any bump helps the fleet numbers.

I must say the Grand Sport edition sounds excellent to me. All the Z06 bits without the pricey motor and the 6.2L (when equipped with MT) gets hand built alongside the LS9 & LS7 with upgraded internals & dry sump oiling, all for not much more than a base model. While the Z06 is a great package for tracking, I'd enjoy the GS a lot more for the money ;)

As for a ZR1-RPO...it would be a shame to waste the parts if the ZR1 gets discontinued. The brakes especially. But why would one order a Z06 with those parts? For the track? I'd think if someone wanted to make the Z06 more track-focused, and not do their own wrenching, they'd take it to a speed shop for upgrades. I guess carbon fiber brakes are the end-all, be-all shiz, but for most track uses a beefy set of 2-piece rotors, 6-8 piston calipers, proper brake ducting and good pads is plenty good...especially considering the price difference!

It looks like a ripped off VW CC

Ive seen the new Sonatas around here quite a bit (Hyundai USA is a block away from me), I call it a design clusterfuck, its way too busy, it looks decent but theres too much stylistic detail in it, its just confusing

but it is not practical by a long shot. the base model will rattle the fillings out of your teeth, i can't imagine what the z06 or zr1 is like. something isn't practical just because it has a trunk.

I'm not a fan of the harsh Z51 suspension for commuting and the Z06 suspension is very firm as its purpose is to be used on the track. The ZR1 suspension is more plush then the Z06 suspension.

Daily drive a Corvette all day long, they are quite comfy - have great passenger room and all the creature comforts. What makes the Vette more practical than any other 2-seat sports car is the massive hatch which swallows luggage, golf bags or groceries.

all concept cars look cool, but they never look like that when they come to production.

tbh, I don't think the c6 looks out of place in today's cars... still has some awesome lines and is very aerodynamic... but I may be a little biased :p

You may think so:

But you are wrong. I've been to plenty of NYAS and similar and sat in tons of models, and only the VW CC begins to look and feel up-class.

this isn't much better (is250): http://z.about.com/d/cars/1/7/U/j/ag_07lexusis_is250int.jpg

It's a pretty bad color combo but you can tell the quality of the materials and fit and finish and design is still better.

I've spent some time in an IS250. The dash and steering wheel materials are CHEAP and the panel gaps are embarrassing. My 06 Subaru has a better looking dash. Considering the car I was in probly cost $35K+ after the options, that's sad. It doesn't shine in any particular way compared to other cars in its price range and it has a dash that looks like that.

Well it's fitting becaues when lap times come out for the LFA the vette is going to be spunking all over the lexus and 1/3rd the price.

I don't know why people are shocked at 100K Vette since ZR-1 has been out for a while.

Wait what?
It looks the way it does because it's not trying to be Eurotrash. They learned not to make the Vette "stylish" and "Euro" by testing it in Caddy dress. It didn't do so well.

If you think the Chevy name deminishes the Vette you're a damn fool. It has always been and always will be a Chevy.

Continue liking vehicles that try to one up each other in looks and end up looking like rejects from a sci-fi show while the Vette smokes their ass in every performance category out there.
