no, because according to america its the total tally that counts - same reason that they were #1 in beijing 🙄

> implying bronze = gold

It's not implying that bronze = gold, it's implying that bronze > no medal.

If an event has 30 competitors, then the gold medal winner beat 29 of them, the silver medal winner beat 28, and the bronze medal winner beat 27. All three are really impressive.

You can count whatever you want, there's no official ranking of countries in the olympics.

Gotta love Canada, after taking the win they break out with a USA chant for us after the silver medals are handed out. 🙂 You guys are too damn nice.

Yay for the Candian women taking the gold!

I really wanted to see the game live, but was not able to.

I will fully admit that i teared up for Joannie. She will go down in the history of the olympics. The Japanese girl looks like a complete bitch, though. She was angry she didn't gold. Screw you, you are in the top of your sport in the world and it's not good enough for you. :|

Since she was very young, she has been seen as the furture of Japanese figure skating. All was going great when, out of nowhere, Kim Yuna came along. She has been defeated by Kim Yuna so many times and the pressure coming from Japan must be just too much for her, for anyone to handle. If you understand background history of those two Japanese and Korean players, you'd actually feel sorry for her.
