Christine Nesbitt won Ladies' 1000m gold by 0.02 I so need to watch the replay of this event...but hockey... damn

Thanks. Quite hilarious, although some of it seemed strange. I'm pretty sure I goes "g" in the "ing" and whatnot.

😀

Why does the RCMP get abbreviated Armsee? Wouldn't that be short for Royal Mounted Canadian Police? Don't get me wrong, it's cute. Just confusing.

Gold medal at the oval for Canada in the 1000m. 🙂 All three medalists are very pretty but that petite Dutch bronze medalist is CUUUUUUUUUTE!!!^_^

I've never heard "Armsee" either. We generally say "R C M P". Maybe our Accent just makes it sound that way to him? Or he is probably exaggerating for humour.

Damnit. I knew I should've taped the Women's Downhill. I want to see all those wrecks, again and again, in slow motion replay. Stupid Youtube copyright violations. Do they show anything on NBC's site?

I'm from Canada so I'm used to CBC coverage which is always decent. Now I'm at school in the states. Can I just say how much NBC's coverage sucks? Half the events have already happened and most of the time they only show US athletes. I hate it.

It's painful to watch our curling teams. They've had so many chances to win, but they've lost every single game.

Between CTV and TSN, I haven't missed any event that I wanted to watch, and I've watched a lot. It's basically all I've done this reading week.

Don't worry. It's the first event NBC is showing tonight after their break for Entertainment shows.

and they own about a dozen channels, and they are about all devoid of any olympic coverage.

and oh god do i hate watching the snow sports with those god awful colored lines in the snow. just waiting for someone to signal a first down any moment now.

What sports? For individual sports they seem to show most of the athletes. There isn't enough time in the schedule to show every game for every team sport, but I think they've shown every Canada hockey game so far.

I've been watching the cross country skiing and biathlon, and there hasn't been any focus on American athletes. I couldn't even tell you if Americans were competing, all of the focus was on the top athletes who had a chance to win.

I haven't seen a single hockey game yet, mind you I only have NBC, none of the side channels.

As for the US athletes, in snowboard cross and half-pipe they only showed US qualifiers, that's the first one off the top of my head. Which I kinda understand seeing as how this is the US. It's the lack of live events. I mean there are things going on right now, men's hockey for one. But instead they are showing some downhill races that happened this afternoon. If sports aren't live it kinda defeats the whole purpose of watching them haha.
