It doesn't look like it would be able to slip past the second rock without hitting the first rock on the side instead of straight on to me.

Look at the yellow guard. Now mentally put another rock just to its right. You have some space between this new rock and the center line. The second shot is 1/3 of a rock width to the right of the center line. It's tight, but there's a good 1/4 rock width on either side to make it.

hamelin barely touches the korean, the korean goes down, hamelin gets gold. ohno barely touches the other canuck, ohno gets DQ'd. yup, no home cooking on that one. 🙄

The medals are ugly. They'd look nice if it weren't for the damn dents and they were flat. Who thought making them look damaged was a good idea?🙄

What? They're gorgeous. Easily the best looking medals for a long time IMO.

I was at an event with Alex Bilodeau and he said that Michael Phelps called him up and said that he was jealous that Alex got a much better looking medal than his.

I went to the mint pavilion and got to hold the real medals too. They're awesome.

It could probably make it through, but it has to hit the stone with enough force to get it out, and I think the canadian stone would have gone to the left, leaving the other yellow stone closest to the centre.

Wouldn't have to get it out... just move it 3 feet to make the new red shot.

Again, it'd be hard, but looking at the angles, it seems like an easier shot than the attempted double takeout.

I was thinking the opposite. The double seemed like it would be real easy, which is why they didn't even stop to think about it, bernard went straight out to throw the stone.

edit: of course, they wouldn't have won the game, but it would at least move on to another end.
