I wonder if they are regretting leaving Stamkos, Spezza and Green off yet. They seem to be lacking in the goal department.

As long as Fleury doesn't end up in net. I don't care how many Stanley cups he wins. I was watching the world juniors that one time....

If Brodeur wants to start there is no way they aren't going to start him.

Stamkos would have been good, I'd not include Spezza though.

Spezza has in my opinion been the hottest Canadian over the last month. He should have been the potential call up. Fisher should have made it over Morrow too, but Green being left off is by far the biggest travesty. I honestly was in shock when he didn't make it.

So how does getting only 2 points for that win hurt us? I don't know much about points.

Far as I can tell it won't have any impact on the group standings - the winner of US vs Canada will win the group and the loser will place 2nd. The winners of the groups (and one other team) get an automatic bye to the quarterfinals. Points also determine seeds for the tournament.

standing... say a team is 3-0-0, they get 9 points. Canada can be 2-1-0 at best and that is 6 point

2-0-1-0 and 8 points.

the girls still managed 2 of three medals on the snowboards, which is somewhat lucky after several of them absolutely wiped out.

me bad

Women's slalom was not nearly as exciting as the women's downhill. Because there were no spectacular wrecks (which I am still looking for clips of, hint hint.) But, women in tight ski outfits make it all worthwhile.

haven't even hit the first weekend yet and the US is already over the halfway point to beat the salt lake winter olympic high total.

I think their haul is about to end. Only people left from the US that are very solid contenders for gold are ohno in short track and vonn on the hills ( Does she have any events left?).
