Fail on every account. The look is it's image. Change the way it looks and you'll have millions of fans around the world riot.

paint scheme and spoiler are definately ugly. and it doesn't sound as sexy as i would want a 100k+ car to.

but i'm sure it's fast and fun as hell to drive.

Is this a joke? What kinda moron puts a wing like that on a Porsche... it belongs on a Honda.

You obviously have no idea what a wing does by saying that. It comes with it stock.

Exactly. They really chose an unfortunate paint scheme for the car too. I thought the weird smiley face of the new Mazdas was akward, but the moment I saw the red smiley ring Porsche put around the lower grill, "lipstick on a pig" came to mind. The rice from the factory decals and spoiler complete the look.

I know exactly what it does... but it looks fuckin ridiculous. It's an Italian sports car... not a Japanese rice burner. I just hope the interior isn't loaded with carbon fiber.

Oh really? You're absolutely correct if by "Italian" you mean German.

Porsche is German 😛
But if Porsche engineers find it necessary to be stock, it probably helps IMO.
I like to think that they've tried various other designs before concluding on one.
But yes, that is one big wing that we've come to expect from riced-out Civics

Hahaha... I actually meant to type European, but you get my point... hopefully.

So your point is, because rice burners have tainted the use of a Wing, that no "classy" car should have one? Sure if it's a luxury boat that can go fast in a straight line and nowhere else, but if you're going to have a performance car that has the rear wheels moving the car and you reasonably expect to take corners at high speed, a wing isn't a bad idea. The reason Civics have made a large Wing so notorious and synonymous with looking idiotic is because the Civic is Front Wheel Drive and so doesn't suffer from Oversteer but Understeer and because of this, it doesn't need any more Downforce on the rear wheels....not to mention the fact that the rear wheels do not propel the vehicle, therefore additional downforce and more traction is no needed there, if anything it needs less traction.

No, my point is THAT wing looks fucking ridiculous. It looks like some crap you'd find attached to the back of a Civic with wood screws.

You'd obviously would like a more subtle wing and for their purposes, they decided that what they have now is sufficient. If you're saying that there are better looking wings that would have the same amount of downforce, well I'd like to see that!

Does the moron whining about the wing know it's there to provide down force, not for looks....Just as almost identical wings do on race class cars (which this is supposed to be a street legal version of)

It's also adjustable, because as said before, this is supposed to be a race car that is streetable.

You should stick to what most Porsche has made for people just like you, a Boxer convertible.

Leave the GT3 and RS to the purist big boys.

Maybe if you thought for a second, you would realize the Honda Civic ricers are the ones trying to be/look like the RS, not the other way around.

It looks ridiculous on a civic. It looks functional and proper on a purpose built stripped out race car.
