Early this morning (around 3:00am) I finished up my 201st work unit :-D It took a grand total of 1102 hr 32 min (I am using the graphical client this is why it takes soo long per WU).

Congrats on your milestone :)

If you wish to bring those times down a little (well...a lot), then seriously consider using the CLI client, as it is MUCH faster than the GUI (screensaver)! :)

Congrats on the 200th. :)

As was said by Confused, you'll get better times running the command line client. ;)

Congrats foxhound :D

Just out of curiosity, why are you still using the GUI? If you run the CLI version you'll receive better WU times, if you need any help in the transition, either post here or contact me, trust me it's easy as pie :)

Well done foxhound....less than 50 WU's from your next certificate ;)

One of the rigs in my miniteam had problems with the command line client too, it was running XP (Albeit Home version), it would keep hanging the system and slowing it right down.

Using compatibility mode set to Windows 2000 for both the CLI and SETI Driver seemed to resolve. I used the GUI for a while and have been much happier since switching to CLI, faster, less system slowdown....it's great...although much less interesting to watch :D

Hello. More problems with the CLI!!! GRR. What its doing is well for one taking forever. Two it repeats the finished workunit. I followed all instructions on the site TheCorm gave me. This is just really pissing me off...it will take about as much time as the GUI...4 hours. Any help would be appriciated. Thanks

foxhound,

That link you have gone to is a little out of date due to some recent changes.

Go to this site which is almost like the other one except for the advice concerning TeAm AnandTech Queues.

I would forget about hooking up to a Proxy Server (a Team Queue) until you get things working properly. Just be sure to place a DOT next to NO PROXY/SOCKS in the SetiDriver interface.

You should not have both the GUI and the CLI Clients on the same computer. There would always be the possibility that both versions would try to run at the same time and your computer will probably crash.

It would be best to just completely UNINSTALL the GUI CLIENT.

Then start over with everything NEW. Don't use any of the current CLI Client installation. It is much easier to start over than try to fix some mundane error.

Give us a report when you have done the above. ;)
