is it IDE? If so, it is probably because your bios only can see up to that. Flash your bios to the latest version, that should fix it IF they fixed that in a bios update, they may not have. How old is that mobo?

nm, its working now...it wasn't showing up when i opened my computer 5 minutes ago but it's showing now
