I'm going to a Lakers house party in South LA right now and I'm going to be the only one rooting for the Nuggets. If you don't see any more posts from me, you'll know what happened.

Watch out for the big guy wearing jersey # 24. 😉

Get back to me when Dwight Howard is allowed to throw a basketball at Mo Williams from 10ft away.

Dumbass Cav homers don't even know what a properly officiated game looks like with all the ref help LBJ gets.

There were already a couple of comments made in this thread about how the Cavs got away with Williams throwing the ball.

The only consistent bias I've seen in this thread have been from a couple of Lakers fans, and the obligatory anti-Boston gaggle.

You complain about "Dumbass Cav homers", yet you sound exactly like a "Dumbass Magic homer".

The fact that Cleveland's been called for more fouls than the Magic, and that down the stretch in the 4th qtr LBJ got called for 2 offensive fouls and a travel - which would have cost the Cavs the gave were it not for the miraculous 3 ptr - seems to indicate there is no particular agenda on the part of the refs.

As I noted earlier, "superstars" have been getting the benefit of the doubt for years. This happens in all sports.
Cleveland has been called for more fouls because of their Hack a Howard mentality. And LBJ deserved the charging calls because he committed both fouls and traveled. The problem is not the fouls that have been called, it's the ones that haven't been called. Nothing new that hadn't already been seen in the first 2 Magic series though, and the Magic won those anyway.

Regardless of the foul issues, and despite Lebron's miracle from last night, it's not looking good for Cleveland in this series. They had to steal a win in the last second in their own house, after having a healthy lead. If the Cavs end up winning this series I'll consider it an upset. Orlando has the better team.

I'm not saying at all that LBJ didn't deserve the calls against him. But to state that the games are being "fixed" by the refs is utterly ridiculous.

Howard's only shot 10 FT's thru 2 games, so I would hardly call it "hack a Howard".

The argument can be made that the Magic cannot continue to win while falling way behind, then coming back.

Totally awesome officiating. Den doing all the cheap shit to piss off Kobe so he can get technical, refs doing all they can to look the other way. Home court advantage at its finest.

that was siiiiiiiiiiiiiiick

denver needs to put melo on kobe... kobe is in mamba mode

edit: melo hurt...ariza to locker room

On the play where they say it was deflected and the ball was given to the Nuggets, did the ball hit the ground inbounds, and Kleza went out to save it and was unable to?

Not all fouls on Howard have been shooting fouls. They'll wrap him up before he gets the chance and before a penalty situation is in effect.

I'm not claiming the games are being fixed either. It does seem that some teams get more a benefit of the doubt on calls than others though.

And, sure the argument can be made, but they have come back in the last 2 games and it's doubtful that Cleveland is going to have a bang-up 1st half in every game this series. Let's see what happens when they play at Amway Arena where the Magic have put a serious hurting on Cleveland twice this year.

Sorry, I got lost in the nested quotes - it was OneofTheseDays who implied that the refs were "fixing" things.

I've only seen a few incidences of "hack a Howard". Cleveland hasn't been in much foul trouble, and in fact the fouls against each team have been equitable.

It will be interesting to see if Orlando can maintain focus at home.

I did mention somewhere earlier in this thread that Orlando matches up well with Cleveland...
