Going to the game Sunday. I just put $250 on Houston +12.5

So either the pain of a Lakers loss will be softened with some $$$, or I wont give a shit about $250 because the Lakers won.

wasn't bynum supposed to be their savior?

Still recovering, I guess.
Yeah, maybe his knee will be ready to go next year, just in time to go down again in December.

Their lack of interior defense/rebounding/toughness/whatever is why they got bitch slapped last year against the Celtics, and it's why they can't close out a crippled Rockets team. Bynum's disappearing act especially kills them when they're already saddled with Pau Gasol on the defensive end, and when Lamar Odom seems to be on horse tranquilizers in about 50% of the games he appears in.

Odom disappearing act or laziness isn't something new. I've been calling him the magician. Here one moment gone the next. I've given him plenty of excuses for not living up to potential(drugs, personal problems etc.) What's shocking is that its contract year. You'd think he'd freaking show up and play out of his mind to get paid.

Lamar Odom is so mega-talented that he can get by with less focus than many other players. Imagine if he had the intensity of someone like Kevin Garnett...

For sure Lakers will take care of business come Sunday.

They just need to drop this kind of attitude against the Nuggets or else there will be no chance to get the trophy this year.

Bynum said his about 85 percent okay. I think based on his performance he's just 50 percent recovered.

Lakers simply aren't playing as hard as the rockets. They don't deserve to with with the effort they are putting in now.

Howard absolutely HAS to show up again and win game 7 to not look like a total asshole. I can see that happening, Boston isn't going to win it all without Garnett.

Who is going to beat Lebron and the cavs? It's time for this kid to win it all.

If LBJ doesn't win a championship this year, all he'll hear is that he's "all chalk, no action" until he does...

Quite possibly, considering the 2009 LeBrons have Mo Williams, which the 2008 version did not. And, LBJ has improved his defense and FT shooting.

OTOH, the 2008 Celtics were so damned resourceful...

2008 celts were hella balanced and had a deep bench

Crazy playoffs so far. Really unpredictable...and kinda violent!

Violent? This is like pre-school scuffles over a pacifier compared to even the 80s and early 90s. Back then, fighting was just a technical and pretty much expected in the playoffs.

Like this?

I love these parodies

2008 celtics for this exact reason.

THAT SON OF A BITCH MCHALE! To clothline Rambus like that was just a dickhead move. You saw Kurt get up and try to beat some ass after wards. I always remember Kurt as being very mild tempered.

BTW Rambus and the whole 80's Lakers squad OWN.

I thought it was a BS move by McHale. However, that event did demonstrate to me what a whiny bunch the Lakers fans were.

I've been looking for the one where Cadillac Anderson clotheslined MJ, but can't find it. :( IIRC, that was even more violent.

Get ready for two Game 7's. I really wish the Lakers would lose cus they piss me off with how inconsistent they always play but they'll close it off at home. I wanna see Ray Allen put up at least 30. I wanna see D-Howard elbow the rest of his team in the face.

:Q

Seriously, though, don't you think Orlando could give the Cavs a bit more of a challenge than the Celtics?

Much better match-up with the Magic. Howard and Turkey-Glue need to have good games today.
