People talk shit on Bowen because he's a dirty player, a thug even. The difference between Bowen and say, Charles Oakley - another very dirty player - is that while Oakley would try to hurt you, Bowen would sometimes try to injure you. His little trick of kicking out under the jump shooter could cause major ankle or knee damage. Of course, if Bowen's on your team, you like him.

Duncan isn't as funny-looking as Larry Bird and Sam Cassell.

My guess is Lakers vs Cavs in the finals.

As is many people's guess.

my guess is better. I know the sports

uh, how is it better than the other folks who picked Lakers vs Cavs?

In any case, I'm going with Nugs vs Cavs.

Interesting fact...Dan Crawford has officiated 16 Mavs playoff games...Of those, Dallas has only won once...Dirk only shot 5 free throws (one of which was technical)??? The Mavs shot 13 free throws compared to 36 for Denver? Sure it is just coincidence though...

At least he isnt going to call any more games in these series...

Denver led the league in free throw attempts. Dallas was 4th from last, I believe. The reason is Denver goes inside much more often than Dallas. In fact, Denver at one point has something like a 42-16 point advantage in the paint - place where most shooting fouls are committed. Stop trying to place the loss on the refs. It's going to look stupid for the next three games.

Go Nugs!

The Mavs did play like crap...Kidd had way too many turnovers and Josh and Jerry were no shows...

But that doesn't change the fact the game was horribly officiated...Little tick tack fouls were being called on the Mavs weren't being called on Denver. Guess that is the home court advantage for you..Cuban's antics in the past probably arent helping either...

Overall, the officiating so far, except the Heinrich takedown and this game, has pretty good so far IMO...

The two players in the league most raped by the refs imo is Yao Ming and Dirk Nowitzki.

Did you miss the 3 quick fouls on Melo in the first half?

Nope not really. You could make a case for Wade or LeBron. I honestly think that Wade is more important to the Heat than Bron is to the Cavs but LeBron took them to the best record and are going to the finals. Wade made their team go from one of the worst teams ever with only 15 wins to a decent team with 43 wins that made it to the first round. Heat just downright suck without Wade, Cavs are a decent team without LeBron but it's the ending result that got Bron the MVP.

The Bulls/Celts series is still giving me joy. I popped in NBA 2K9, got the latest updated rosters, and played a quick game of Bulls (me) versus Celts. Lots of great plays on both sides of the ball all game, but it came down to 48-45 Bulls with about 13 seconds left. Celts inbounded the ball, and I saw the pick coming for Allen, but couldn't get around quick enough. He launched it as I jumped to block it with Noah, and I just knew there was going to be a foul called. No foul, but the ball bounched up off the rim, off the backboard, back onto the rim, and finally down and in with 9.7 seconds left.

Tied 48-48, I take the ball out at halfcourt after a timeout. I pass it into Rose, and get it immediately to Gordon, who was my go-to guy for the game. He was immediately double-teamed at the top of the key, so I quickly passed it down to Rose, and drained the 3-ball with 0.7 seconds left. The Celts were out of timeouts, and their full court heave failed.

My wife was looking at me crazy in those last few moments with Allen hitting that 3 and then me responding. :D

Yeah the top 3 were all great this year. So, not incredibly obvious. Though I think anyone who says Lebron shouldn't of got it would have to be an idiot though.

Boston looks like they're a 1/2 step slow; a bit tired. If the Magic keep moving the ball like they did in the 1st half and keep forcing the Celtics to chase after them, this could be bad for Boston. Pierce already has 3 fouls too so he's going to have to watch himself in the 2nd half.

The biggest thing that I see with the Magic compared to the Bulls is the ability to handle the ball and get a shot on each possession. The Bulls wasted so many trips in each game with shooting at the buzzer or a stupid turnover. On top of that, a lot of the shots by the Magic have been wide open.
