It hurts me to say this, but I think it is more likely that the Lakers blow this.

IMO, it's more likely the Cavs win 3 in a throw than the Lakers lose out to the Nugs.

If the Magic go cold from 3-pt land, the Cavs can beat them.

It's really looking like an Orlando-LA Finals.

Studying box scores is fun as hell, especially when playing fantasy, but to get a real sense of whether a player is shooting well, you gotta watch the game. A couple last second heaves at the end of a shot clock or quarter can really skew someone's shooting percentage. As would a hustle play where a player crashes the offensive board, manages to get a tip or two at the basket, but misses. Because regardless there was a real chance of those going in, those count as shot attempts too.

I haven't missed watching a 2nd round or conference finals game yet.

My statement comes from knowing what LA (and Kobe) is capable of compared to the game they played last night. In contrast to that consideration they played decently, but nowhere near great. It certainly wasn't anywhere near their best effort and there was a lot of sloppiness on both sides. Fortunately for LA, Denver played a lot sloppier than they did.

Note that I am not a Denver or LA fan either. I'm simply making a neutral observation as someone who has played lots of basketball and has been a fan of the NBA since the mid-1960s.

After 4 games they finally decide to play well but of course it's at home they decided to play well. We'll really see what they're made of when they go back to Orlando. If they really have turned it on then they should be able to do it on the road.

But it looks like the Cavs are letting the Magic get a run in so who knows what'll happen tonight.

Well yea but every game is different so who knows. Magic could easily get any double digit down quickly with their 3pt shooting. Who knows but it's back to double digits now. I want another good/close game.

Heh. It's like tort reform for basketball. But I don't know how it ever could be reasonably enacted. Maybe you could make an example out of a few players to set a precident. But I just don't see any objective way to continue it.
