Wow. Spurs came out looking good but faded. The Mavs played a physical game and seemed to wear SA down late in the 3rd and going into the 4th.

Houston and Portland now. It'll be interesting to see how Portland plays. They may be the only team to give LA some problems if they can manage to move on against Houston.

It was only game one, but the Bulls/Celts game was stressful enough for me.

The Bulls have really come into their own the last three months.
 
Houston against Portland isn't even a game tonight, it's a slaughter. Third quarter is about to end and it's 82-58 Houston.

Trading away nocioni and gooden for salmons and miller has been great. Salmons has been very productive on both ends, miller has been a leader, and it has forced Thomas to grow up mentally and take responsibility for being more consistent.

Kudos to Paxson for not resigning earlier (he was very hard on himself) and making this trade, which began paying dividends almost immediately.
 
spurs with ginobili would have made the west compelling, but not it looks like all these great matchups will just lead to some team getting destroyed by the lakers in the conf. finals.

Umm... The first time they met the cavs won 101-93, the second time the cavs won 88-72, the third time the cavs won 102-92 and then there was the 4th time... The cavs forced an overtime with their reserves and lost by 1 point. Lebron, Mo, Z, Ben, Smith, were all out that whole game. Varejao played for 11 min and Delonte played for 20. Im not trying to be mean or to rain on your parade or anything but seriously? You honestly think the sixers would beat the cavs in a 7 game series? I can understand being a fan and all but come on. Thats pretty far fetched. Barring any serious injuries to our starters and half of our bench, there is no chance the sixers would take more than 1 game in a sixers-cavs series. Cleveland and Orlando are the only teams worth talking about in the east now that the celtics have lost it.

LA is the team to beat in the west. I thought portland was going to give them a bit of trouble until watching the game tonight. They were just not ready. Maybe in 2 years they will be a playoff threat but now there just not there. Spurs were my first pick to upset LA until they lost Manu.

It will be a LA-Cleveland or LA Orlando final. Orlando seems to give the cavs problems but I see the chances of them winning 4 games (where at least 2 would need to be won in Cleveland) slim to none.

Lakers-Cavs finals, Cavs take it in 6
 
I'm shocked on how bad Portland played tonight. It could have been any NBA team up that much considering how bad they shot and defended.

Boo Blazers. Pick it up next game.

He probably will, Lebron is given WAY too much special treatment. Wade didn't get foul immunity though, he just played really well.

Lol no way! Its Lakers v Cavs and I have no idea who will win but I hope Lakers win cause LeBron is overrated and they are trying to package him as the next MJ when clearly there's better players in the league. As far as I'm concerned, MJ >>>>>> KB >>>>>>>>> LBJ.

Ive missed maybe 7-10 cavs games this season (fucking west coast trip had the games starting at 10pm here). Lebron is fouled on almost every drive. He gets the fouls called 70-80% of the time. On defense he rarely commits a foul, its just not how he plays. He can give offenses fits just because of his energy level and how he is all over the floor. He doesnt need to be an inch away from someone to defend them. Hes fast enough that he typically gives a cushion and because of that rarely fouls.
 
Come on Cleveland, I need at least one championship! I thought we had it with the Indians a couple times, but this is the Cavs time to shine.

Yeah I actually didn't watch the NBA for almost two years after that despicable officiating performance in the finals that year. I remember watching mid 3rd quarter and some guy got whistled for bumping wade....near half-court....the guy was at least 3' away from Wade at the time of the call. I turned off my tv and didn't watch another game for about 20 months.

D Rose is freal but I don't know that TT and Noah will bring the straight goods every game. They are young and mistakes will be made, and that includes the Head Coach.

It took years to build a team around him in cleveland. I dont think he would want to wait until he was 27-28 to be seriously competing again.

Not "drinking ESPN koolaid"... you're so hostile - forget your meds this morning? :disgust:

Any "pay cut" he would get from moving out of Cleveland could be more than offset in a larger market.

I don't want to see him leave Cleveland, but it seems a significant possibility, unfortunately, given his desire to be a bigger media presence. He's stated in the past that basketball is only one piece of what he want to accomplish.
