Kia is supposed to become their regular brand.

Not to mention their cars are made in Alabama and "domestics" are made in Canada and Mexico

I don't understand how they can afford to price it so low with all those features? You are telling me a simliar featured car with a let's say "Mercedes" logo is marked up $30,000 more just because of that logo??

I'm actually in the market for a new car, and will be visiting Hyundai this weekend to look. Here's the reason for all you Honda/Toyota snobs:

1: I have a 2001 Toyota Corolla and it has not impressed me. From interior trim falling off and the console door breaking in 30k to leaking seals in 50k miles. It has turned me off of Toyota for a long, long time.

2: IMO Hondas ore overpriced.

3: Hyundais 100k mile warranty.

3: The Sonata and Sante Fe actually are pretty good looking.

Then after that I will go to the Ford dealer down the road and see how badly they need to sell cars. :D

On the Ford side of things, The MKZ is a very sweet ride and the MKS that will replace it this fall is also looking to be very very nice. The twin-turbocharged, direct gasoline injected version of the 3.7 that they'll put in the 2010 model of the MKS has be drooling :p

I bought an 03 Elantra a couple of weeks ago with 70k miles on it.

Car has 0 rattles, 0 mechanical problems. Every little thing works. Most cars I get in something small like the right motor in the automatic side mirror won't work, or the LED behind the CD button on the radio is out. But this thing puts right along at 30mpg and is a fantastic little car.

My dad bought an Accent for a girl at work to tool around town in. With her 2 kids at 60k some miles in 2 years, the car had 0 problems. Perfect working condition when he got rid of it.

I'm sold on them.

Toyota makes a killing on every Lexus, more than their Toyotas. The margins are so much higher than their Toyota lineup.

Hyundai is just reducing that margin.

EDIT: Damn the coupe looks hot!

I would take this car in a second. For the features that you are getting and the aesthetics of the car....I don't think that there is a better bargain to be had. It looks like the MB Sclass without the second mortgage to afford the payments.

I'm guessing that 75% of the population wouldn't know that it is a Hyundai upon sight and once seeing it and its features wouldn't care afterwards.
