2009 Acura TSX

I test drove this car today... Its think this is the perfect car I have been looking for...

Great Mileage, Great optioning, and space has increased over previous years.


I don't want to sound too biased, I'm looking for objective reviews of the vehicle.

Anyone have any more objective opinions of this car?

It's a nice little car.
Should have good reliability.
Good features, especially with the tech package.
Underpowered.
Exterior styling (grille) is somewhat questionable, but if you like it, go for it.

Also... The Garage is thataway.

 
My wife loves her 2005. I was trying to talk her into a 2003 TL when she totaled her Passat, but she was on the fence. On a lark we test drove a TSX. I told the salesman not to bother coming with us, because I was convinced she wouldn't like it. But she loved it.

Looks like they didn't change the appearance too much, but the new one looks worse. 🙁
 
Personally I think the TL is a better deal. Only 4K more MSRP and you get a way more powerful engine and you still have 26mpg highway, which isn't much less than the TSX
 
New & improved! Quite an upgrade from my 06 TSX and I thought that car was nice

Yeah, must agree with that... wow, I have a 2003 Accord, and the wife wants this(just paid it off)

i wouldn't go so far as to cal Honda as 'Great' engines... The Lotus, (now that is a great engine) I would call them above average, esp for the price... And that is why i like them for the price... I really like the the TSX for the price.

why? most honda sedans/coupes offer a great combination of style, fuel economy, performance, comfort and low operating costs (aka a great value)


and OP, test drive the 08 TL type S before the model change- that thing is seriously sexy

There is no arguing that the TL(or S) is a great engine/car, but it doesn't have the price/MPG of the TSX... Salesmen are saying that they will give me an 08, TL for the price of an 09 TSX, and it is very tempting
 
I cannot believe how much they are charging for those cars. I am most certain you could find something else that is better for the price...almost 30 g's for that car...wow...! Guess I am waaaay out of touch...

But the Lotus is using a Toyota engine 😛
A lot of people, including me, dislike that new "signature look" (ie: ugly front grille) that Acura has been putting on all their new cars.
Otherwise it's a nice little car (european honda accord).
 
When it first came out, I HATED the new Acura look. Couldnt stand that front grill. But after seeing a few on the road, I actually like the car now. The new grill, although still ugly, works well with the car
 
It's one of those cars you actually have to see it with your bare eyes 😛 The front looks not perfect, but great, and the rear looks much better and more luxurious than last gen.

I agree it's underpowered, though, and that's only downside that makes me staying away from Acura dealer. Otherwise, I should've already got rid of my Bimmer.
