2008 mazda 3

While driving down the road my mazda 3 lost power and turned off. Now there is water coming from the tailpipe and the car will not start. The lights come on and the alarm and key fob still work any suggestions?

Timing belt???? Not sure if Mazda 3s have a belt or chain. Does it crank when you try to start it?

Was there white smoke from the exhaust fogging the road before the engine stopped, is the coolant level low? If the answer is yes, you most likely have a bad intake manifold gasket or blown head gasket, or possibly something much worse. None of these problems are quick fixes, definitely have a mechanic look at it, the internet is only going to be moderately helpful at best.
