2008 Honda Accord............

I like the current (2006-2007) styling. In fact, it has been growing on me. Usually, this happens with Honda cars - at first, they are somewhat simple, but over time, I like them more. The Accord, both the current one and the 2008 seem better than the Camry.

I don't think its as bad as most people say. Sure the coupe looks better but its all about pricing. I will be looking for a car in 2008 (getting ride of my gas guzzling truck thank god).

The front reminds me of the acura version of the civic, its definetly bland and boring. Unlike the new camry with its 300c style fenders.

The grill treatment is just odd, and the rest is a hodgepodge of BMW (the entire greenhouse, particularly the C-pillar, and the doors are very reminiscent of a 3-series) and Hyundai. I think it's funny how the coupe obviously borrowed its C-pillar from Aston Martin. The last couple of generations of Accords have been pretty fugly IMO, and this is perhaps a hair worse than the current ugly Accord.

Actually, I missed that you are able to rotate the car last night. (To be honest, I was clicking on everything and nothing was happening, so I wonder if I had browser issues).

Anyway..........it's even less impressive than the original spy pics. And herein lies the problem..........

2007 was supposed to be a "carry over, makeover" to get out of the 2006 look that just didn't fare well w/ the extra wide tailights, bland nose, etc. etc.

2008 was supposed to just rock the world w/ a complete makeover incorporating design never seen before.

Well, my first impression from the driver's side profile is that the thing looks like a SEBRING!!!!!!! Heck, I'm surprised they didn't groove the hood like they did the side. (My take on grooves is that they're a great place to create hard water stains...........designers should NEVER put concave grooves in a car's body!!!!!!!!!!)

Rear-end sucks. Front end looks Oddysey-esque w/ those headlights, and the grill is truly forgettable.

How can a company that makes the "TL" look so damn sexy, make their #1 selling sedan look so horribly bland????????? 😕

I think it looks great... I'm considering purchasing a new sedan this year, and it will most likely be this car.

It's an everyday people mover with projected sales of a few hundred thousand a year. As long as Honda wants to maintain those figures it's going to be bland. They market the car to a broad range of people. If you want something exciting, look elsewhere.

I was thinking the same thing.

Car and Driver's first drive seems to indicate that the car is significantly larger (5 inches longer than the Camry), and that Honda has made the car more "polite" to appeal to older buyers. Neither of which sounds good to me. But we'll see.
