DarkLord Day 2008
Saturday April 26th 11Am-10:30pm AT THREE FLOYDS BREWING Co & BREWPUB 9750 INDIANA PKWY MUNSTER,IN 46321

DarkLord Day 2008 is the only day of the year to buy Three Floyds DarkLord Russian Imperial stout. DLD is a festival where participants can meet other beer enthusiasts, sample beers from all over ,buy DarkLord, try Oak Aged Dark Lord Russian Imperial Stout ,eat BBQ, Listen to live music.

Darklord Day 2008 will be greatly improved to accommodate larger crowds, including expanded parking, more porta johns, shorter lines and more food choices.

I'm so marking this off on my calander. Guess I'll be bringing a few hundred in cash and see how much they'll let me buy. Probably stay for lunch too.

I've been wanting to take a trip down to Munster for quite some time now to visit Three Floyd's, I'll definitely consider making a weekend out of this.

WHAT?!?!

Three Floyd's is my absolute FAVORITE beer. I might have to make a road trip out of this.

Any Wisconsinites interested in going to this and getting a hotel room for Sat night?

Ebay is your only chance, usually sells for $80+ per bottle because nobody wants to sell theirs. I don't think you understand the scope of this beer. Once a year is all that it's sold.

I plan on bringing my wife and friend.

I wish there was a legal way to ship alcohol. I'd pick some up for ATOT. I'm not breaking any rules though to get you booze.

three floyds is a great brewery.... I've also appreciated their beer tent at the Great Taste of Midwest Beer Festivals.... I can only image the party atmosphere of DLD.

😀

yeah its a really quandary... I think its 'legal' to ship beer/wine through a carrier, but the carriers themselves have policies disallowing that option.

I've only tried two of their beers so far. I enjoy Robert The Bruce, easy to put down. I also had an Imperial Dreadnaught. It wasn't bad, but I liked Imperial Yeti better.

Luckily Binny's by my house stocks 3F's.

I'm in Naperville and google maps says an hour. So from Chicago it should be a half hour.

Yeah, my local store had 12 oz bottles for $10. I should have bought one just to splurge a little. I didn't know what it was at the time.

2-6 bottles per person(based on past limits) @ $15 each. Only available at the festival in Munster on that day.

A little too out of the way for me, but you meet a ton of interesting people.

If you go, make sure to bring some growlers of undistributed beer to share. Also bring camping gear. Get there early. No one stays for just lunch. 😛

You're in Naperville? Hell, I'm from Wheaton and am currently living in Chicago for school.

"Imperial" isn't an exact label, but imperial stouts are usually 9% ABV and up (WAY up), often pour as thick as milk, and have an incredible range of flavors that just isn't there in Guiness.
