What an engine! You could just drop the clutch in 2nd and spin the wheels! Must be some experience to drive that car. How do they make so much torque, and available from 2000RPM too!

I'm amazed!

On another note i'm loving the new mercedes styling.. From the 2006 S Class i think they've got it spot on! How are the quality issues improving?
You make that much power by turbo-ing a V12. With that much power I would really want AWD, so I could actually give it the beans without fear of wrapping it around a tree.

Top Gear did a review a year or so back of the same car (the 2007 or 2006 model) it had slightly less power but one thing is for sure if you put your foot down in that car it had a lot of trouble getting the power to the wheels. I can't imagine that this car with even MORE power can really make much use of it besides overtaking on freeways and such.

Rubber can't cope with that kind of force... I wonder what kind of compounds they'll move onto after rubber. I suppose its sufficient for average daily use though!

If rubber is good enough for a top fuel dragster, I'd say it would be just fine for any car.

Yea because there are alot of roads lined with rubber and alot of road cars with drag tires on.

Nothing preventing you from doing burnouts in your driveway and warming up your 345/35/20 slicks before you go to work.

I do remember seeing that.. Didn't realise it was the same model though.. This one's much nicer!

I think i remember them saying that model had to be restricted to around 700-800NM though, due to gearbox etc issues. Not sure whether the same applies to this model.

When I see a Mercedes, I automatically look for the little hints that it might be an AMG. If it is....then I am in aww of the performance. If it isn't, then....well...yea.

Haha, you know whats exactly what i'm like.

The other day i saw a Mercedes GL, nice car, nothing special.. Only thing that caught my eye if im honest was the the HUUUGE drilled discs glinting haha, then the GL63 AMG badge and i was in awe of it!

That looks sweet.

The only thing I don?t like about the car, is the Mercedes badge on the front grill. They should have made the three black segments inside of the Mercedes symbol allow air to pass through, like on one of their other new models.

That would have made it look much better IMO.

Also, those wheels look fat, no wait, they look phat. :p
