If I was a Rockie fan I would hope for the skys to open up and end the game now.

The longer it goes the more their pitchers get used, the worse it becomes down the road.

They should pull Beckett
Interesting idea. Wonder if his pitch count is low enough for him to pitch in game 3 and then game 7. Otherwise I doesn't make sense.

I think it would have been a good idea to pull Beckett after 6 innings. Heck, even give Gagne some work. It's not too often you get a 12 run lead in the WS!

Ya know, I expected the rockies to be rusty and end up losing this one... but christ not like this.

It's okay. We are just wearing out their bats in the first game. 😛

I think anybody who thought the Rockies were going to walk into Fenway and beat the Sox, at home, with their ace on the mound, was completely delusional. That being said, this series isn't over. The Rockies are a good team, they have good young pitching. The question now becomes, if they get in trouble again can anyone bail them out? If the Sox win game 2 convincingly, it could be an absolute disaster for the Rockies. Even if they lose a close game, I can't imagine the Sox losing the WS after being up 2 - 0. They're just too deep.
