Looks good in the pics.
Unforunately they stick the blue oval on the steering wheel so you know it was built to crappy standards.
Another favorable impression ruined by the foolish display of the Ford logo.

congrats, you get the official dumbass of the thread award!
I just state what you are too dumb to realize, understand? I don't care if you like what I said.

Just what America needs. Another fugly SUV. As if we don't have enough SUV's as it were, we need more ugly ones like this POS and the new Jeep Compass POS.

yup.

but from the looks alone i would have thought the Freestyle looks more like an SUV and the Edge more like a minivan.

Pretty much. I'd take the CX-7 over this, though. Mainly because

1) Mazda's engines are BULLETPROOF. Outstanding design
2) The CX-7 has a turbocharged 2.4L w/ 240HP.
3) It's a mazda.

It's not bad, but I like the Mazda's design more. But no v6 for the Mazda :(

Maybe the few changes Mercury will do to its façade will help fix the few things I don't like; that is if they rebadge it as a Mercury. They're already doing it with the Aviator.

It's okay, I guess. I do like how ford is going for a contemporary, solid look on their new cars, but I don't like the design itself.
