wtf padraig hits it in the water on 18th?? crap I dont have live coverage here.. just looking at the scores online

Eh, at least Sergio was in the playoff. Usually he has choked by now so give him that. Also, he's been using that putter for a week, give him some time and he doesn't lip out a couple of those putts.

Also, Ernie is back on the radar.

After playing today and avoiding all forms of information to watch it tivo'd....

WHAT A FINISH!

To double boggie the last and then be in a playoff??? Just shows that until all players are in, it isn't over. I think there was a 4 stroke swing on 17 with romero/harrington.

I was very impressed with Sergio's ball striking. If he gets his putting down he'll win a major. The bunker shot he made in the playoff was supremely well done and the announcers didn't give him enough credit for that.

Too many times Sergio has been in a position to close, but yet he can't close. I am afraid after this he will never win a major. He friggin shot 2 over par while a LOT of players shot in the sixties. I really wanted him to be a serious contender to Tiger, but he just does not have the guts to close.

Was a dang good open, even my wife was interested in it, especially since we watched it in 1999

agreed, I think now the open is the BEST major of all four! even better than the masters!
