Two rounds are down and two left. Who's your pick?

I hope Sergio wins it. He's been so close but for some reason struggles in the final rounds of majors. Tiger? You never know with him, he can pound out an awesome round when needed and Sunday's at majors turns him into uber-tiger.

Lot of big names on the leaderboard.

1 Sergio GARCIA 18 -6
2 KJ CHOI 18 -4
T3 Miguel Angel JIMÉNEZ 18 -3
T3 Mike WEIR 18 -3
T5 Jim FURYK 18 -2
T5 Boo WEEKLEY 18 -2
T7 Andres ROMERO 18 -1
T7 Angel CABRERA 18 -1
T7 Lee WESTWOOD 18 -1
T7 Alastair FORSYTH 18 -1

sergio doesn't put consistent enough to win it, and i don't want to hear about this belly putter, untill i see him put together 3 rounds below par. . . .

oops, he's already screwed that up hasn't he.

i pick KJ Choi to win it all. 😉

KJ Choi is quietly having a fantastic year...I hope he wins it. Btw, you can catch the live broadcasting of the open through sopcast (british commentary).

Since when? Tiger has NEVER come from behind on Sunday to win a major and in the last 2 he held the lead on Sunday and kicked it away. He's not going to be in the lead on Sunday, so he's toast.

As for Sergio, he probably won't hold. Either the putting or the ballstriking are going to betray him somewhere along the line. Both have been shaky this year and he is not a good frontrunner.

I think it might be Choi. He's red hot and has a down-the-middle game well-suited to Carnoustie. Could be an interesting Saturday as the weather is supposed to take a turn for the worse.

It's a power packed leader board. Sergio still playing well. Vijay's always a threat. Tiger is at -1. So barring a meltdown of the top 3 players he'll have to pull out a miracle on sunday.

1 Sergio GARCIA 8 -8
2 Steve STRICKER 17 -6
3 Miguel Angel JIMÉNEZ 9 -4
T4 Chris DiMARCO 18 -3
T4 Paul McGINLEY 16 -3
T4 Padraig HARRINGTON 14 -3
T4 Mike WEIR 9 -3
T4 KJ CHOI 8 -3
T9 Vijay SINGH 16 -2
T9 Stewart CINK 14 -2

he's always been one of my favorite golfers, I'm happy he's really putting (get it!) together a great year

Stricker finishes a -7 round!!! Setting the low round record for the open. Most of is birdies were 25+ foot putts!!!!!

That's some serious movement. Should make for a VERY interesting sunday. Might have to get up early on a sunday.

Garcia is BOMBING it off the tee. 300+

Yeah. That's not good. It can put a nice crack in your noggin. Hope dude's Ok.

Sergio's got a nice lead going into tomorrow. We'll see if he can keep it up. A bogey or two and there a TON of players ready to catch him. He's only had three for all three rounds and that explains why he's in the lead.

It didn't look like he putted all that well today. Other than the big pull-hook approach to 17 he put on a clinic tee-to-green. He missed a lot of VERY makable putts today, especially on the back 9. He could easily be -12 or -13 instead of -9.

A buddy of mine got hit on the course. Put a hole in his head and had to have a plate installed. It's pretty serious if you get hit, especilly in the head.

That is how it will end.

You might not be far off. Ernie is making a move birdies 3 of the first 9.

Sergio looks like his nerves are getting to him. The leaderboard is jam packed.

Sergio will win The British Open. Stricker will come in second at The British Open. But the best part, Tiger will LOSE at The British Open.

Case british Closed

Not so quick. Birdies on 13 and 14 and Sergio is back into a tie for the lead. Harrington is red hot though.

How's this for a back nine for Andres Romero? He briefly held the lead:

birdie-birdie-double-birdie-birdie-birdie-birdie-double-bogey

6 birdies, 2 doubles, 1 bogey, ZERO pars.

the course is there for the taking, but so far all he manages to do is even par. what the heck? if tiger was in his position he would've put up early birdies and the other players wouldve just gave up. Sergio gave hope, and now he has to WORK hard for the W

damn only if romero parred the last 2 holes 🙁 guess nerves got to him as well, maybe he was thinking: OMG I am leading the open! then BOOm...
