So what your saying is, the new Avalon stole a taillamp design from the G35, despite the fact that the lights more closely resemble the layout of the current Avalon which came out before the G35?

**Shakes Head**

that pic makes it look more like the G35 than the current avalon.

nissan called, they want their taillights back

Riiiiiiiiiight:roll:

what does the current avalon have to do with the new taillights on the new avalon?

B/C they are clearly an evolution of the current Avalons. And if you're talking about the G35, the current Avalon came out before it.

Yes, but those taillights came after it.

WTF? This is a circular argument. Bottom line, the current Avalon came first. The new Avalon mocks the current Avalon, EoS.

I don't like woodgrain, especially not as an 'accent' like they have it.

I also hate those ratchety-auto-stick-shifters.

Actually those lights look more like the old solara with the recessed trunk. Just saying the Avalon got new lights in 2003 when the G35 came out. In fairness to Toyota, they may have copied the 3 series taillights and not the G35 😀

I was talking about the way they were cut, not the shape. The red thing on the bottom and the blinker on top.
