For the 2006 model year, the 350Z receives some welcome improvements. Bi-xenon headlights and LED brake lights are now standard. Cosmetic exterior changes--always debatable--include a tastefully revised front fascia and grille. As first reported in The Mole, new 18-inch cast wheels with increased brake rotor size (for non-BremboR brakes) are standard on most models. All 6-speed models now have the 300 horsepower rev-up engine (automatic transmission Zs continue with the 287 horsepower engine) and all models get a new speed-sensitive steering system. Interior refinements, long overdue, include new cloth seat material and revised HVAC controls and gauge styling. The BoseR audio system now has MP3 capability and a new navigation system is available.A Grand Touring coupe model--essentially a Touring model with BremboR brakes, front and rear spoilers, and Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC)--has been added to the lineup. Sure to please enthusiasts, both the Grand Touring and Track models get RAYS super lightweight 5-spoke forged-alloy wheels--18"x9" in front with 245/40-18 tires and 19"x10" in the rear with 265/35-19 tires--for improved handling and visual impact. We're sorry to see the exterior color Ultra Yellow disappear, but three new colors arrive: Silver Alloy, Magentic Black, and Interlagos Fire. -- Dave Ochenreider

Most people don't know how to properly use side mirrors... the car doesn't give me any blind spots (honestly!)

hmmm, i not a big fan of the 350Z, I prefer the 300zx and Skyline bodyshapes, the 350z looks too rice bubbleish, the earlier cars had tough lines and 300zx especially had a sexy shape, the skyline looked mean with it's squarer lines....I wish Nissan would bring back the Skyline:(

What are the differences?

different wheels. LED taillights and revised front lamp assembly. Also new front grill, not that much different. Interior has changed for the worse IMO.

Unless you own one or drool over one daily, you won't be able to see the difference.

Those issues were limited only to '03 and early '04 models AFAIK.

Meh, the coupes are still nice cars but I wouldn't even bat an eye at a roadster. Fugly^10, especially with the top up.

If you want a roadster buy something that was designed as a roadster not something that is one as an afterthought.

the fronts still have the feathering issue... however, nissan sent me a letter saying they'd fix the problem and re-imburse me for any tires that I have purchased as a result. (even if I have aftermarket wheels!) I have a 04.5

Bixenon headlights are HID headlights for high and low beam. It's in one assembly that either moves up and down or a shutter is there to block the high beam light when not used...basically there is not 2 bulbs one for low and one for high.

Rear Active Steer is the rear wheels can to, I think, around 1 degree in either direction to aid in steering. So at higher speeds like on the freeway it will turn in the same direction of the front wheels to make lane changes and gradual turning and stuff easier. In low speed, it will turn in the opposite direction of the front tires so as to make it rotate better.

Someone mod the new Z to add rear active steer!

they can add all the gimmicky crap they want. it still looks like the love child of a whale shark and anna nicole smith. just sitting in one made me bulimic for weeks. you can barely even see over those blubbery doors, swathed inside by oceans of undifferentiated cheap gray plastic, but that's a good thing, because it reduces your chances of accidentally being seen in one. yeah, sign me up!

nissan as a whole has the worst styling of any company on the planet. even pontiacs look better than those turds (G35 coupe excluded).

but i'll bet it's pretty fun to drive. ;)
