remind me kinda of the newer Dodge Neons. But its still an improvement. Wonder if they fixed up the interiors from the crap they used to make

I like it, but a fat, torquey *3.8L* V6 needs to be driving all 4 wheels, ala-GSX

A car that small with that much FWHP is silly 🙁

Yea, it would be more appealing if it were AWD or RWD, but I know the AWD is Evo territory now. So whats wrong with RWD? damn u mitsubishi! 🙁

making it RWD will make its tiny backseats virtually unusable at all. plus all you fast and the furious fanboys need to realize that the old turbo-charged GSX costed something around $27k. you can buy an Evo8 RS at that price.

😕

How would it being RWD make the backseats unuseable? It might cramp the trunk a little, and you'd have to have a bump in the middle of the floorpan depending on the driveshaft layout, but in a sport compact thats the last freaking thing you care about.

You do realize that a GSX was basically the same drivetrain as a Evo right? It just had different suspension geometry and body panels. For the longest time, it was the closest thing we could get to a Evo in the States.

Cliffs notes : You are retarded.

your point being? you can now buy a freaking Evo8 RS for the same price with all wheel drive and a turbo 2.0 in a sedan form. why the hell would you want an eclipse GSX? idiot.

I'd want one because 4 doors and an upright body look the suck compared to a low slunk sleek 2 door.

It looks like it's an audi TT with the read jacked up.. I like it more than the current model but I still think the 95-1999 generation is much cleaner.

Is the reliability on the Eclipse really that bad?
No, it's worse. Anyway, mitsubishi is a farce of a brand name, barely able to stay in business in North America, thanks to its asinine lending practices combined with substandard cars. Would you buy a car from a manufacturer that has a very real possibility of closing shop in the near future?

Coupe vs Sedan retard.

Heres another point for you while we're beating a dead horse to death. The Evo 8 has useable backseats WHILE having all of the associated hardware for a RWD vehicle (rear diff and driveshaft for starters).

If 260 HP can really be had for $20k, that's not bad. Unfortunately power alone doesn't sell a vehicle, which is why very few people are driving SRT4s. This will probably sell well through, especially to greasy white boys!

Definitely not bad... better than the current POS!

I don't know why they don't go back to a turbo design (4 cylinder) instead of a 6 though.

oh well!

I don't know! Those incentives are REALLY tempting! *nudge nudge*

WTF is wrong with some of you people. Idiots judge a car by the name. Mitsubishi isn't even a bad company, and the car looks great anyways.

Yea, b/c looks > reliability to 99% of car users.
