wow, so yeah I placed the order through dell small business Friday night, recieved an order acknowledgement immediately afterwards, yet when I log on there are no orders on file. Furthermore, when I called today I spoke to 4 different people, got hung up once, and still have no clue as to where that order is. They have no record of the order in the computer, but have my company info in their system.

Are the 2005fpw's in any way inferior to the 2001fp's? I thought that a widescreen monitor would be desireable and hence worth more. But the 2005fpw's were about $70 cheaper after discount.

i think the 2005fpw has less real estate than the 2001fp. the 2005fpw probably has closer to a 19" lcd in actual area.

wow monitor came much faster than i expected, too bad i missed the delivery attempt. but wtf...monitor came before dell sent me the email saying that its been shipped.

The Tax thing is a bummer- it pushes the hot deals to merely warm. Plus Dell plays tricks now with the FREE SHIPPING (plus handling charge). They get you with the bogus handling charge now. Its like the documentation fee scam car dealers are running now IMHO.

Newegg seems to have better LCD deals once you factor in the no tax and free shipping code they put into their print catalog.

Also if you are thing of going widescreen you will want to ensure your favorite games actually support it (and your card can push the framerate at the high native resolutions the 19 inch + LCS run now).

Surely he's seen this thread and from the looks of it, he's decided to ignore it.
Would have been nice if $342 was the real deal.
