2005fpw color problems

jsut got my shiney new 2005fpw from dell, hooked it up...and its very green and washed out looking, changing the color settings on the OSD help a little but I cant get any sembalance of black on my desktop background (which is solid black). Running a dvi connection with my 9800 pro.

Hooked up analog connection and it seems alot better although still slightly green, perhaps I can fix the green level. Do I have a faulty dvi cable or what?

Just RMA the damn thing. My 3 year-old laptop started showing pure white as magenta and pure black as red.
I suspected that the GPU had problems, but things looked okay after hooking up to a external monitor, so I deduced that the LCD was broken or the connection was loose.
I opened up my laptop, cleaned it out, and put it back together. It's now good.

Sine that LCD screen is brand-new, you have the right to RMA the thing. You don't want it to go out of warranty just to have problems down the road.

Gotta love Dell quality 😉

It seems many many people have problems initially with the FPs.
But after three or four RMAs, i'm sure a good one will come along eventually

yeah...I was so happy when I saw no dead pixels and no backlight bleeding....

If I can hook a monitor up to the dvi port of my graphics card through a conveter and have it work fine does that mean the dvi output on the card works correctly?
