2005FPW and OSD, not all menuitems can be used!?

When I press the OSD button (third button from the left) on my 2005FPW, and go to submenu item [Image settings] there are only two menuitems available: [Exit] and [Scaling]. The other menuitems are grey. Why aren't the others available? I'm using it with a DVI-connection and club3d x800 Pro. Dell monitor drivers properly installed. Also, is it normal that if I change the scaling from [fill] to [1-1] the screen flickers for half a second, but nothing changes on the screen-scaling? Games that do not support wide screen resolutions are stretched no matter what I use with scaling. I've seen posts that report black boxes in order to maintain true pixel to pixel image, but not with me. What am I doing wrong?

It's normal for some settings to be greyed out when the monitor is connected through DVI. Most of the tweakings are supposed to be done via the video card's driver. Unfortunately I don't have an ATI card, so I'm hoping maybe someone in procession of one might be able to point out where you should look for those settings.

Can you tell me what menuitems are grey with your setup? What do you have to do with your vidcard-driversettings to force resolutions in non-widescreen support game? Thanks in advance.

I just found out how to get [1-1] setting to work. You have to choose this scaling setting BEFORE starting the game. That way the black boxes will appear, and the in game chosen resolution will be used. (Am I stupid or what?!!)
