man its ugly and its expensive, last time i looked at the sticker on the new solara coupe (b/c i was looking at the highlander) it was like $28K

edit: ok apprently that was the top of the line SLE V6. But still its ugly!

This is the reason I'm looking for something somewhat unique(a Datsun Z car), instead of just running out and buying an affordable econobox.

That and the performance thing. 😉

An old Datsun won't be fast!

No they wont. It looks too boring and ugly to some extent.

And Solara sales have been through the roof with the redesign. People love it. Toyotas have for the most part always been boring to some extent (but with great quality, reliability and resale value). That's why they sell. That's why the Camry is the best selling car in the country.
