finally a decent looking avalon😛 Looks like it was influenced by Infiniti and Acura RL 😛 But at least now its got the looks, insides, and the power to actually compete 🙂

I think it is pretty ugly looking. Looks like they stole some lines from the Caddy CTS, some from Infiniti and just randomally put together a frame. I think the interior looks pretty bland and blah.

Check out that rear seat legroom :Q:Q:Q

Looks like the front seats are both well in front of the B-pillar to give the illusion of a lot of rear legroom.

And with all that potential goodness to source from, they still managed to make it look like the Official Shuttle of AARP. 😛

still bleh, less bleh then before. then again most of the competition is still bleh..with few exceptions like 300c..

How come all of Toyota's cars look like the rims are too small for the body.
This applies to the new Avalon, Corolla, Camry.

that's cause toyotas are toyotas. that, and old people don't need rims. i like the two tone interior with the wood steering wheel and leather, and the lights. everything else = pooey.

Man, I'm so fvcking fed up with what passes for "large & roomy" these days. I swear to God, I'm going back to the real deal again someday...

If an American fatass can't get comfortable in a new Avalon, they need to lose some fvckin' weight. The car is HUGE.

You have NO IDEA what legroom is.
You have NO IDEA what deep bench seats are like.
You have NO IDEA what real shoulder and elbow room feels like.
You have NO IDEA how HUGE a trunk can be!

Even our current Grand Marquis' feel claustrophobic. I'm pretty damn sick of this miniaturization of our cars. We've had econoboxes shoved down our throats so long, that people consider these intermediate/mid-size, dime a dozen, grocery getters to be large.

Adding more power (why was it taken away in the first place) is just swell, but I'd like my cake and eat it, too. We're replacing my wife's puny G. Marquis with a decent sized (spelled ROOMY) SUV. My Town Car may someday get replaced by a '78 G. Marquis. Hell, maybe my wife will take one of those over the SUV! It all depends on the initial cost, and how much money it will take to get the A/C etc. all working perfectly. Might not be worth it in the long run, but it's worth a shot...

Are you like 7' tall and 300 lbs or something? 😛 Even your average fatass American can fit in an Avalon or Grand Marquis.

Top selling cars in America:

Toyota Camry
Honda Accord
Ford Taurus
Chevy Impala

So what's the big deal? You are TRULY in the minority as far as size goes 😉

Somehow, I don't think the same people shopping for a G35 and the "power" will be shopping for an Avalon. That shouldn't have even been mentioned.

very very nice. I might even consider buying one as a freeway cruiser. The touring model might be attractive.

I don't understand why people knock cars for what they are designed for.

It's like saying that a BMW sports car sucks because its too flashy and doesn't have enough room.
