6.8 second 0-60 for the V6 convertible with the automatic and a green engine. The coupe (a few hundred pounds lighter) with the manual will be a few ticks faster, which would be, let's see... Mid 6 second 0-60.

And the 1/4 mile time for the convertible with the automatic is 15.1 seconds. Mid 14's should be possible with the V6 coupe and a manual.

Wow, you're one of the last people I'd expect to state that a Mustang is a sports car. Is your only benchmark for a sports car 0-60 and slalom numbers? What about being relatively light, nimble, and well balanced? Good confidence-inspiring relatively fade-free braking system?

Scion tC can run 15s and pulls 66.1 mph through the slalom. That's a sports car too now?

lol serious, this must make the civic SI a near exotic cause it traps 95 mph and slaloms 68 mph.

Must have 2 doors and RWD. I'd consider the SI and the tC to be sporty coupes. There are no FWD "Sports Cars".

Every single thing I have read about the Mustang is that it is very nimble, has great brakes and has a balance and poise that has not been seen in the Mustang before. In fact, I've seen several reviewers choose it (GT) over the 'Vette (non-Z06) for track use because it just feels better. The newest model Mustang has the package to back up being called a "Sports Car" in my opinion. It has the speed, the balance, and the feel to be considered a "Sports Car" in its current iteration.
