I don't understand the Mike Williams pick by Detroit. They should have traded down and picked up something they actually needed. I'm also not too thrilled about the Titans picking up Pacman Jones. I just don't see how a 5'9 guy can be a shutdown corner in our division with the likes of Andre Johnson running around in Houston.

Pacman has an unreal vertical man. He may be short, but the kid is an athlete.

Hah, he better have a 40+ vertical if he's going to cover someone like Johnson. I assume Johnson has some sort of a vertical too. 😛

i guess this is what happens when you whine and cry and then lose and then cry some more

What a sticky situation for GB, considering all the needs on defense.

Hopefully Aaron Rogers works out for the best...

As a Lions fans, I was glad to see they took Williams with the 10th pick.

He may wind up being the steal of the draft. And the Lions offense is going to be pretty damned nice in the future with R. Williams, Rogers, M. Williams and Kevin Jones.

🙂

In my opinion, it was a foolish move. They already have 2 great receivers...sure, now they've got a ridiculous trio, but they have more pressing needs...someone to throw to them, o-linemen, a DE...I thought they should have taken merriman or rodgers.

Wow two teams that needed so many other things that drafted quarterbacks.

Hey there are very few teams that do not need to draft ffor need at some level.

The redskins do not have a need at QB they have needs about a million other spots though

Dallas is now officially a 3-4 team, I don'tknow that I agree, they already had a pretty solid 4-3 setup. Personally, I would have drafted Derrick Johnson to replace Coakley at OLB giving them a very solid LB corps, and then with 20 drafted a true 4-3 DE in pollack. Oh well. They also now have the problem of Ellis/Glover. Both are great 4-3 defensive linemen, but don't fit that well in a 3-4. Clearly spears/fergusen will be playing, which leaves two solid 4-3 guys switching off at a 3-4 DE spot? I dunno...maybe trade one of them for a WR.

Dallas needs to make other changes andd perhaps trading Glover is an option although I am not sure who would want him and I believe that they would take a pretty big cap hit as well.

I'm sure they could trade Glover if they wanted to, the guy has been to the pro bowl the last 4 years.

ANd the guy that was 1 in rushing last year still has not found a home.

Alexander and edge have no one who wants to pay them. There are cost associated with getting a guy like glover and many felt Dallas was overpaying him when they signed him.

Well does anyone have a doubt now that Auburn should have played for the National Title? 3 picks in the top 10 and 4 in the first round.

The patriots picked up a very good OG . Fresno State's running game was excellent because of Logan Mankins last season. Maybe he can help improve Corey Dillon's game next season 😀

I think Auburn should have played for the National Title, but not because they have 4 superstars.

Just replacing andruzzi who was one of the best in the league

i can't believe rodgers went all the way down to GB... good for him though.. to be learning from one of the best quaterbacks ever.. so he should learn, and he definately has the talent to take farve's place.. it's insane that he went all the way down to 24th, after being a possible #1, and with miami and tampa being at 2 and 5.. insane...

I'm not surprised that Roddy White got picked by the Flacons. The five players I was really watching have all been picked by some alright teams. I wouldn't have minded seeing at least one of them go to Green Bay, but as long as they got drafted that's all that matters. 😀

I'm somewhat glad that Nolan at least has a plan for keeping Smith alive this year. Injuries killed our OL last season, liking that we actually have some depth now. Hoping to see some DL and CBs with the rest of our picks.

Yeah. Wow, great logic there Mill. Just because your team has 4 superstars doesn't mean it's a great team. Not giving any discredit to Auburn, they WERE a great team, and I do think they deserved to be in the title game more than Oklahoma, but not because they had 4 superstars, but because they were a great team.

Dallas was the real winner in this draft, they got exactly what they hoped for, 2 sick defenders. I can't for the life of me figure out what Joe Gibbs was thinking picking up Campbell, however Carlos Rogers is a great and absolutely necessary pick. I think Gibbs should have went after a speed reciever... but really at this point in the draft there wasn't really that much left that would fill any necessary redskins holes.

Aaron Rogers going to GB is a great thing... Favre is only going to be around for 1-2 more years, this sets up Rogers to learn from one of the greatest of all time, and become the GB Steve Young.

Detroit is trying to set up Joey Harrington... they want to be the KC of the NFC Central.

All very interesting stuff.... I think the biggest loss of the draft was Rolle going to Arizona... where he'll be an unknown, because the Cards suck... Arizona is where the great ones go to die.

Blah
