I drive a Lexus but I think pretty much all their new cars are FUGLY, including this one. The rims, horrible, the shape, horrible... ugh...

Jetta & IS300?? WTF are you smoking ya crackhead!! I do agree on the last two points though.

I stand by the Jetta and IS resemblance. Have you seen the two parked next to each other? If you put ugly altezza lights on a black jetta and park a black IS next to it, it almost becomes difficult to pick them apart. 🙂 You don't really think Lexus had an original idea in the IS do you?

The clear lamps??? Uhhhhh, DUH! 😀

How does the GS look like an A6? The new one isn't even out yet. The old one was an original design and so was the one before that. The SC430 is an original design albeit an ugly one but the previous SC was beautiful and original. I don't see how you can call the IS a Jetta. It looks nothing like one. The RX has always been original as well as the LX/Landcruiser. The new GX to me is just an ugly Frankenstein, part Montero, Trooper. The LS on the other hand is a ripoff of a MB but at least its from one of the best. The ES and Camry share the same chassis but haven't looked alike since the second generation.

OMG that car is TOTALLY VW/Audi/Mazda!!! Supposedly it has a hybrid V8 powerplant...and not one of those "all about saving the environment" hybrids if you know what I mean!

Here's some better pics

so did they just decided to squish the infinity fx and badge it as their own?

Typical Lexus design. Rip off Audi's basic shape, strap on Acura's front treatment, add bimmer rims, throw in some Mazda6 headlights, and voila, another unoriginal Lexus car.
I guess they think if they rip off enough cars, noone will notice.

How's that?

The original GS was a Guigiaro design.

Which makes it even more strange that lately Lexus started copying other brands, with LS, GX, and now GS. They can design original looking cars, yet for some reason choose to rip off other designs.

Hmm yeah, looks like Volvo + BMW. Strange, Japanese copying designs again. Or should I say refining something that is already good.
