the only way i see it would be to have the current TABOO recipient & the next one(s) sign up for the race, then when we switch recipients the WUs still go towards the race. This all depends on the start/length of the race too.

I'm not active in SETI, but I'm active in the BOINC project Einstein@Home. Is it an independent signup, or do I just cut and paste those two pieces of information BOINC asks for to latch onto a project? (a specific URL and that code or whatever it is?)

This gauntlet will only be for SETI Classic. The next one will probably be a boinc one since SETI classic is ending. If you wanna setup the classic client for the gauntlet, you can find setup instructions here: http://www.gygabite.com/smokeball/sigline.htm 😉
 
What timezone is the 2pm startup in? I'm sorry if this was already asked, but since this is an international competition, I'd like to ask for an official United States timezone startup time. (I'm not asking to start at a different time, I just want to kno...damn, I don't know how to express what I want to say. If it's 2pm in the timezone we're going by, what is the time difference for the eastern United States? There, now I feel better 🙂 )

Edit: I'm not going to worry about actually setting up the client until the afternoon of the 16th. Can I reserve a name before that time without actually setting up a client?
 
13:00 UK-time is mentioned, and since it's still winter this means 13:00 GMT. 😉

If you don't know your time-offset to GMT, but are running windows, just click the clock. 😉

You can have old wu queued waiting to be done when the gauntlet starts, but not finished wu, so that's not a problem. 😉 Oh and thanx for the joining! 😀
 
Any word on how many expected wus every team should be? Or are we going to wait till the Windmills get their size final & we'll cut to match? Vice versa?
