Yeah so I'm totally getting a CRT-like burnin image on my 5-month of 2005 FPW. It's only noticable on a neutral grey background but its still pretty annoying and more importantly really lame as this monitor is quite new and extremely expensive. Basically, I can see the outline of the firefox window as well as my buddy list (!). I use a screen-saver (15 minutes) and have display power-down after another 15.
The only thing I could find about is an article on the Apple site ( http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=88343 ), so at least I know its not some weird isolated case... it says you should leave your display full-white for as long as it took to burn the image in, though I have no idea how long that is. Would it be wise to leave my display on all-night some night like that? Or should I just have a go for an hour or so.
Anyone else have this problem? Any help would be great, especially someone telling me to calm down and that its not permenant and not a big deal and not to worry.
