2005 FPW and ATI 9600 xt

I just purchased a dell 2005fpw and was wondering if my ati 9600 supports this monitor. If it doesnt, would it be a bad idea to use it together?

Well, my card says 1600 x 1200 or 1280 x 1024 and the highest is 2048 x 1536. It doesnt say 1600 x 1050 so is this a bad thing?

Your card supports 1680*1050 because that is less pixels than 1600*1200. It actually supports up to 1920*1200 on DVI (what you want to use) and 2048*1536 on VGA. You should be fine using it for desktop apps, but don't try to game with that card at native resolution, it's just too high.
