Team AnandTech earns a special distinction for its work on Seti@Home (Classic) when it is named one of the top 10 teams. Of particular note was the personally addressed and signed letter we received informing us for the award along with a certificate to go with it.

I was especially pleased that we were one of the few top teams that didn't get points deducted for cheating. 100% Pure Crunch.

Let's see, where did that team that said they were going to "stomp us" finally finish? Oh, there they are in our rear view mirror. :laugh:

I really, really enjoyed the experience.

Yea it was very satisfying that we weren't blemished by cheaters ,& the one cheater we did have some years earlier we hounded out! , IIRC he latter had a lot of his credit wiped out in the team he went back to.

There was another cheater, that was so "intelligent" to use one of the Team-SetiQueues, so a quick look on the logs revealed some of the results was reported by him over 50 times...

2004 also marks the start of the 1st. BOINC-projects not in beta, if my recollection isn't too fuzzy it was Predictor@home, SETI@home/BOINC, Climateprediction.net and LHC@home.

I have the small and large version of the Certificate. I found them when looking for the Columbus LAN party pics. Didn't have the letter though, thanks!
