LOL. People don't buy sports cars like they buy toasters you retarded cvnt.

That said, GM's recent reliability numbers have been better than Nissan's, and not far off from Toyota and Hondas. So much for "off the charts".

God, does it hurt to be that stupid? it must

Do you still have problems understanding what INITIAL QUALITY means (here's a hint - it doesn't correlate with vehicle reliability)? http://www.jdpower.com/awards/industry/pressrelease.asp?StudyID=736&CatID=1

WTF do they mean they "boost" the HP to 350. The thing was SUPPOSED to have AT LEAST 360HP, and 405HP with the LS6.

In a keynote speech at Kettering University, (formerly the General Motors Institute) in Flint Michigan about a week ago GM Vice-Chairman Robert Lutz announced that the 2004 GTO will have a 360+LS1 in 2004 and a 405 HP plus LS6, among other product notes. The GTO is known to be one of Lutz's pet projects and pretty much anything out his mouth regarding the car is considered gospel. With the cars debut quickly coming up expect more and more info to slowly come out of GM. Also on a side note Lutz called the 2004 Grand Prix the best handling FWD car he has ever driven.

go take your reliablity comments elsewhere..they are not needed

you have never been in the car, the car is brand new, and because you think its pontiac its gonna break down constantly...and we all know japan cars are most reliable cars on the road (sarcastic)

the funny thing is i see more older american cars on the road than japanese cars.
thats ok..go take your maxima or your fugly camry, bunch of grandma cars
ill take the GTO and proceed to look better and sure as hell be WAY faster as i proceed to smoke you off the line with 1/2 pedal down..laughin i might add

The past JD Power IQS correlates extremely strongly with their future vehicle dependibility ratings. Which makes perfect sense. Which vehicle is going to break down more often 5 years from now? One with less problems, or one with more? Somehow, I don't think those problems fix themselves. IQS may be based on the first 90 days, but it's proven to be a strong gauge of long term reliability.

It still rapes the hell out of that POS Toyopet Camry you drive. Hey, I heard you got stickers for it that boost the HP by 20. Good for you man. Get that coffee can tailpipe on and you might 0-60 in less than 9 sometime.

no point in arguing with ignorant people. Nissan fanboys love to bring up that the V6 in the maxima, altima etc has been on JD power list for best engine 10 years in the row but when it says GM has better reliability than Nissan, they dismiss it and state all domestic are built like sh!t and will be found on the side of the road in 5 years..its quite funny.

So are the price of parts when you need them... and you WILL eventually need them.

That' what happens when when GM (or ever other domestic for that matter) is your gay lover, you get defensive about every other brand. He's the woman in the relationship 😉

Big Gay Al...or in this case, Big Gay GM 😀

Regardless, why not just spend $5k more and get the real deal...a C5 Vette?

can get the 6 speed or 4 speed auto

Dam it looks really really nice too
only gripe about is that it has no dual exhaust..but that can be fixed with a little extra moola
best part it is less than 35k!!!

this is my next car!

Pics

An all-new true dual exhaust system. It includes dual catalytic converters, one on each exhaust bank; two small resonators, one between each catalytic converter and the mufflers; and pipes-only running from each muffler all the way to the dual chrome exhaust tips which are packaged next to each other at the rear fascia.

It's dual... just on the same side... so you really only need to reroute 1 pipe if you really need it on the other side.

Shut the hell up. I also love the way you call people fags, you should be banned for that. I sure as hell was, for something even less inflammatory.

i take it the c5 isnt the new 03 corvettes right? i know its not the z06.
C5 is just the codename for the 5th generation Corvette

C5 Vette is just a regular old 350 HP Vette
C5 Vette Z06 is the 405 HP hardtop model

Hmm, definitely true in regards to a C5 Vette but the GTO is a 4 seater, where the Vette is... lacking in the seating department.

Ugh, can't stand Ponticrap styling. I wonder, does it have an LSD rear end? That would be cool if it was standard. I can't imagine trying to drive a car with that much torque without limited slip. Either that or constant intervention from a dynamic stability program & traction control.

But it's not pontiac styling, it's holden styling!!!! 😉

I like to think of the GTO has a four seater Corvette. I think the GTO will be an excellent handler and a car that is easy to drive around in the city. It has a fully IRS suspension and a very tight chassis.

I've seen them race around in the Australian race series, and they are a hoot to watch.
