It's just different than other interiors. I'm sure it'll grow on you. I like it, from a practical standpoint. There's more space to store stuff and everyone cans ee the speedometer and control the a/c, radio, etc..

Why does EVERYONE need to see the speedo?? Only the driver needs to see that info. I don't need any side seat drivers when I'm driving...I f&&king HATE that:| And what's so hard about a front passenger controlling the a/c, radio in a regular dash on the Odyssey or Sienna?

This dash is just Art Deco gone mad.

Don't you parents always yell at you for going fast when your doing the speedlimit? Well if they can see the gauges themselves then they won't yell. Also, its a good way to control the drivers speed. If he's speeding..you yell..and he can't lie since you can see the speedo. I know this woudl work wonders in our family..but then our travel time would increase significantly.

That speedo would make it a lot easier for my friends to see when i go "just passed 120 mph......"

When I'm driving and someone says something about my speed, I tell 'em to shut up. My dad has gotten to the point where he keeps his mouth shut when he's riding in the front seat b/c he knows that I'll blast him. I put up with his sh!t when he was teaching me to drive, but I don't put up with that crap anymore:D

When I'm driving with someone else in the car, I never speed excessively (maybe 5-10 over at the most) in the first place so they need to shut up. If they want to drive, then drive. But when I'm beind the wheel, leave me the hell alone and stop side-seat driving.

Center mounted guages are more for style and cost reasons than anything practical.

Mercury gets a new version of the Ford Freestar called the Mercury Monterey. I'm too lazy to go find it so look it up in Google :D

ok, i saw some pics. it's a renaming of windstar and it is just a refresh. pretty disappointing considering it's a new name. you'd expect a lot more change.

on the bright side it will be offered with a 3.9 and a 4.2 litre v6's. nice.

Uh huh, when the Scion A and B's have the center mounted gauges, they're ok.
Don't see you complaining about the gauges on them

Most moms do have style, and a life outside the home, and Nissan thinks they deserve a family-hauler that?s as stylish and multi-dimensional as they are.

*snicker*
*guffaw*
*chortle*

You go, out-on-the-town-mom! You go w/your *snicker* bad self! Just remember to pick up some Huggies (size 18-24 months) on the way back from the *snicker* nightclub.

The only reason why I even said anything about the guages on the Quest is b/c Mad Indian said that everyone needs to see the guages...hell no!!!!!!!!!!!

I still despise center mounted guages. In fact the only way that I would EVER buy a Mini is if it came with a GPS system....b/c only then do you get both the tach AND the speedo mounted on the steering colum right in front of you.

I wish my dad was like that. He still gives me directions (like "turn right here") even though I've been driving the same area for over 3 years! Pisses me off!

And then my mom...I have to explain to her that just because the engine is loud...doesn't mean I'm going fast!!! Back when we had our Corolla..there was a exhaust leak..so it was pretty loud. When I'm accelerating to 60km/h, she thinks I'm speeding and starts yelling at me.

Eww. I hate minivans in general, but I *especially* hate minivans with a noticeable cut for the sliding doors. Chrysler et all have figured out how to hide this cut under the glass. Why can't Nissan do that?

Good God. Whose going to buy this rolling turd? Minivan shoppers don't want avant garde. And Ford's new Mercury minivan looks a lot more stylish than the fugly Quest. In this segment, the central mounted gauges are enough to seal the vehicle's fate.
