2004 Minivan Comparison Test

Hah, the Sienna BARELY squeaked out a win over a 6 year old model. It should have been a landslide for an "all new" model. Wait till the new Odyssey comes out... 😛

Then again, the "all new" Freestar scored dead last, even behind a POS Kia 😕

Rarely does a new model come out that completely "OWNZ" the current field. Chrysler did it with the '96 Caravan. Even the current Odyssey wasn't THAT much of an improvement over the current Chrysler vans at the time.

🙁

Wish I could afford the 04 Sienna, I was looking at older model Odysseys and they're still pretty steep, I might end up with a "cringe" Grand Caravan....

::sigh::

You obviously didn't read the review on the Kia.

and when you thought they run out of cars to do a comparision 🙂

anyway, dude, I sat in one of those KIA's minivan and that are actually quite nice.

meanwhile, the Chrysler Town and Country is probably by far the BEST Minivan I ever sat in.

Not to mention that the new ones can put ALL the seats behind the front seats flat into the floor. I can't believe they didn't include the T&C in this comparison.

maybe Edmunds.com is turning japanese and turning japanese... I don't think so. 😉

anyways, I just checked out the numbers and whao, 180hp from a 3.3V6 and 215 from a 3.8. well of course you won't concern HP when shopping for a minivan but talk about bad use of displacement.

on the other hand, when I sat on a Dodge caravan and TC, I felt the car was extremely torquey and powerful. and oh the leather... it is like butter on the TC.
