2004 Ford mustang!!!

there was a bunch of guys at the bar last night in town to test drive the 2003 (Mach 1 i think...if that comes out in 2003???). they were all invited from dealerships across the country to do a track testing...

Worse! Its the best concept drawing I have seen yet. It is totally restyled and resembles a 60's Stang. I have also read that they are going back to a 5.0
 
I think it's a cool combination of old and new. The muscle look of the 60's fastback and the streamline of modern cars. Reviewers always complain about the mustangs having a solid rear axle, hopefully this new car will do away with it.
 
I"ll beleive it when they have photographs and not jsut sketches.

Yeah, they're introducing a 5.0 motor again, but it's a new modular motor, not the old 302.
 
If this concept makes it to production I will have to sacrifice the Prelude, and explain to my girlfriend why I never keep a car for long🙁
 
I like it, I've always liked the older 60s mustangs and this has that sort of feel. Supposedly the V6 will weigh in at 215 hp while the new modular 5.0 will be available in variations up to 400+ hp. Talk about a pony car, 400 of them is a lot of ponies...
 
Absolutely beautiful. Far better than the current generation. Possibly the second best-looking Mustang ever (behind the 428 Super Cobra-Jet notchback coupe).

If they could put the 19" rims and 16" brakes on the production model, that car would be a fantastic looking car. Unfortunately, like their current models, they'll put on undersized donuts that are quickly upgraded by any serious owner anyways.
Otherwise, great looking car, wouldn't mind seeing the back.

I like fords new approach with the 70's styling... First the GT40, now the stang... Good work ford, you picked a very good car era to revive 😀 (even though i want alive for it)

I think it looks ok, at best. The trouble is, it looks ok on paper only. When Ford actually produces that vehicle, it will look like a cheap POS like the current Mustang.

Hopefully I'm wrong though. I can't think of a single Ford that doesn't look like a cheap POS.
 
I hate Mustangs, aside from the 60's models. I hate people who own Mustangs, except for the 60's models. Mustangs are overrated, ugly, poseur "sports" cars, except for the 60's models. This 2004 model ( if it is true) is not ugly, it is not poseurific, and it is a sports car. And hopefuly it won't become overrated. This is the first Mustang I like except for the 60's models.

Mmm, very sexy car.
