Hey all, I'm new so I thought I'd post a pretty general question that gives me an idea about the general audience here :) I myself will vote Democrat if they have the balls to nominate Dean.

What's your position for the next election? It looks to be an exciting one.

I live in Texas so there is no reason for me to vote. It sucks living in a state where your vote doesn't count. :(

I'm going to vote for whoever has the best chance of winning and isn't Bush. Bush has really raised the bar for sh!tty presidencies... I think future administrations will have to try to do as bad a job as Bush and I'm not sure if they could match what Bush has done. The horrible thing is, I don't want Bush out because of what he has done, I really want him out because I'm frightened of what Bush and more importantly Ashcroft will be able to do with another 4 years to shred the Constition further.

RE-DEFEAT BUSH IN '04 :D

I can't believe Bush would have the balls to stick his nose out for Election '04. He's made such a travesty of the White House for the past 3 years, no one in their educated, right minds should even consider a vote for that Bush loser.

Three years ago he said he'd restore "honor and dignity" to the White House; yet what he's done was lose any shred of honor & dignity the White House even had left when he took office--with all his corporate scandals, bankruptcies, justice-not-served in election '00 and microsoft, and his iraqi quagmire and money scandals, and this CIA leak. and that's just scratching the surface.

A little pent up angst there philly? Maybe you should seek comfort from someone as the world you live in must be hell.

Can't handle the truth, CAD? Perhaps you should take off your Right-wing-rose colored glasses and come to reality?

I handle the truth quite well, thank you very much. :)
No, I wear no glasses and can see quite clearly, thanks for the concern though.:)

Maybe you should take my advise and seek comfort in a freind - maybe release some of that pent up angst - and then come back and join the real world...you know...the one that the sky isn't falling on.:)

No - it'd be "irony" if someone said it who constanly posts "the sky is falling" type posts. I don't post in such a fashion - there are plenty that do though. Thanks for playing though:)

I will be forced to vote for Bush in '04 unless the Republicans can come up with a more viable candidate. At this time I just can't stomach the thought of what a Democrat in the Whitehouse would do to us.

Considering the fact that there were no decency or morals left in the Whitehouse when the Clilntons left, Bush had nowhere to go except to maintain the status quo or up. To each his own in deciding that.

Here's 's to the elections in '04.

:D

I was close to saying McCain. I think those two should just go ahead and switch. Collins, Snow, Chafee are all Dems in denial. Coleman is another questionable Republican but he's the best the MN GOP has to offer.

Anyone who votes for Bush is a fool, fascist, religious zealot, or for whatever reason just wants to see the further demise of everything good this country stands for.

Oops, I forgot to put rich corporate buddies of Bush in that list.

lol. since hitler(a well known fascist) was an avid socialist, a democrat would have more in common with him than bush would.

There's nothing wrong with being a socialist, there is something wrong with being a fascist.

there is plenty wrong with being a socialist.

socialism tends to lead to dictatorships or oligarchies which gives us the fascists or fascist "types". at the point the government gains great power after nationalization, those in charge of the government wielding this trmendous power keep it. hitler, mussolini, stalin, mao..etc..etc. all proponents and implementers of socialism or forms of it, with basic socialistic ideals such as communism, which is merely socialism through revolution.

that is why socialism never has worked, and never will. learn the lessons of history or...
