2004 Chrysler Pacifica

new minivan, whatever they want to call it. most people driving "sport utes" would be better served by minivans.

The GPS in the center stack seems like a cool idea. Dunno if it works in real life (screen seems like it might be a tad small, plus your passenger can't watch it for you) though.

It is a nice car, but very expensive. I wonder who its competitors are?

Cause at its current price range is goes against RX330, FX35, etc..

I did see the car in person and it is a nice product.

Whoops:
Chrysler had hoped the Pacifica would provide a roaring sendoff for Crossfire, but only 2471 of the Windsor, Ontario-built Pacificas were sold in May, leaving dealers with a whopping 214-day inventory. The hope now is that, as dealers get their first Crossfires, shoppers will be drawn to Chrysler showrooms and look at Pacificas as well.

Also:
But so far, the pricey Pacifica is off to an uncertain start. Many Chrysler customers expect a less expensive vehicle, one analyst says. And not all shoppers understand what the Pacifica is. Even the company says it must do a better job relaying the message that the Pacifica is a blend of SUV, minivan and sedan.

I hope sales pick up, for Chrysler's sake.

So these ARE out. I saw one in the parking lot the other day.

It looks like a roomy station wagon with a lift kit. It's not as bad as I thought it'd be, but it's still a station wagon.

Chrysler's are looking vice nice lately - has the build quality improved too? My dad's '95 town and country is an overpriced POS- did being acquired by merc. change any of that?
