F&ck yeah. If you want a roadster, get a Miata/MR2 Spyder/Boxster/Z4/SLK/Vette, etc. If you want a pickup, get a pickup. I don't remember anyone asking for a pickup roadster that can't even haul any damn thing. WTF is up with that?

And GM wonders why they can't find $$$ to do cars like the Solstice...it's b/c you're making stupid sh!t like a $42,000 pickup-roadster

disgusting :disgust: This crap moves into 2nd place, bumping the Honda Element to 3rd, in the ugliest car of all time.

I'd rather have an Element than an Aztec!

(Btw, what's the #1 crap?)

Bob Lutz should burn in hell.

He takes away the Camaro and Firebird, and brings us wonders like the Aztek and SSR.

That's ok though, cause he's replacing the Camaro and Firebird with a GM branded RWD civic clone.

The Aztek is no doubt #1

The Aztec is 1st, SSR is 2nd, and Element is 3rd ;)

Obviously it's aimed towards a older more mature group! ;)

After seeing some of the cars you young folks think look good, all I can say is "Differant strokes for differant folks!"

I think the SSR's look SWEET! They must have rethought the powerplant because the motor I origanally heard was being used was massive! Too bad if they wimped out of the engine! :(

SSR = Thunderbird all over again (which was also aimed at a "mature group"). At least the Thunderbird had a history to go with it and it still failed...the SSR has nothing. I hope it dies a horrible death.

I saw a bright yellow SSR on the road in Michigan last week...talk about a shameless attention-getter. Can't quite figure out the point or the target market...guys who like roadsters and trucks but get neither the fun of a roadster nor the usefulness of a truck?

here's my favorite line

Chevy plans to build between 14,000 and 15,000 SSRs annually. If they can sell them all, ?we are going to make a little money and that?s all I?m going to say,? Tom Wallace said.

What's so special about that "design trick?" Looks stupid to me along with the rest of the design.

Interesting concept, but it's too slow and heavy. It will definitely turn heads, though.

just different i guess. i'm just tired of seeing the same design being used for every car on the road these days.

not saying i would ever buy this though.

I saw a red one on South University in Ann Arbor MI about 2 weeks ago. It's amazing how many "new" cars go for a test drive on that road. Probably coz its the best road to be an attention grabber. Slow traffic with curious college students on both sides and lined with trendy coffee shops.

Anyways, that thing rides REALLY high and looks absolutely weird in person.

could be uglier, i guess.

Thos pix don't do it justice. I saw a bunch of video of it when it was rolling w/the Hot Rod Magazine Power Tour earlier this summer and it looked much, much better in the video I saw than in those pix. It had a purple/yellow themed paint job that reminded me of the purple & yellow 'vette's from a few years ago (Indy 500 or Brickyard pace car I think).

Anyway... obviously this thing wasn't built to be practical. It's a $45,000 toy (which is what it was designed to be). Nothing wrong w/that IM0.
