I was able to participate in one of the first builds of the new 2004 Acura 3.2TL today. (Hey NFS4 do you have any spy pics of this car?) It is one sharp looking car. Much better than the current Acuras.

I was able to see just the chassis, then one that was partially assembled, and one that was fully assembled and they were testing the stereo and the rear deck mounted subwoofer.

Nice big 17" wheels too :)

That's too bad. It is a beautiful car. We were all talking about how we think that this will be a really hot car for Acura/Honda. LED tail lights and HID headlights are there, and the headlights are super sharp looking. Not the big bulky ones that are on so many cars right now.

I may have to go back up there in a couple weeks, and they offered to take us on a test drive in one! Woohoo!!!

Yes, the 2004 TL is a completely new design, based off of the new Accord platform. The front of the 04 TL will look like the 2004 TSX, but the rear looks nothing like the TSX.

Here is a picture of the front of the TSX.

nice, i like the front of the new acuras, but the tiny spoiler and the raised back make them look cheezy to me...

The design of the TL was incredibly clean looking. Very attractive interior, and the exterior was sharp and agressive. There wasn't a spoiler on any of the cars that I was looking at. The ones that I saw where 3.2TLs, so I'm sure that they have the standard 3.2 V6.

300HP ??? doubt it...its a FWD, therefore torque steer would be a b*tch if it has 300hp

Yeah right.

If Acura/Honda wants to compete with Infiniti's new products, they have no choice. Then again, Acura and Honda has never really appealed to the masses. Simply created products that would sell to the majority. And sadly the majority in America would prefer FWD (well in the Northern states anyway). They should go with Audi's approach. FWD or AWD. =D

It looks sharp alright... but from the blurry pics... its starting to look like the rest of the cars out there... maybe its the roofline... dunno. Anyway... what about the CL? Is it dead or will there be a new CL soon?
