How come the Suburban or Yukon is not in the comparision? <mind you I didn't read the article yet>

But now that I think about it, there aren't a lot of full size SUVs around...

(1) Tahoe = Yukon. No need to test them both.
(2) Tahoe, Expedition, and Sequoia are full-size SUV's
(3) Suburban, Yukon XL, Excursion are gargantuam SUVs and are a bit larger than the ones mentioned above.

I wonder if they tested the all important grocery haul and soccer practice taxi that the owners of these beasts frequent.

Ah yes, I was thinking about the Excursion...what class is that in?

Also what about Dodge Durango?

I believe the Excursion is Nimitz class.

The durango's the same size as an explorer, right? I would say that makes it a medium SUV...it just gets far worse gas mileage, IIRC.

I dunno how they came to the conclusion of TIE for the Expedition and Tahoe. I've driven both and I found the the Expedition to be inferior in every way. I won't comment on the Sequoia, never been in one.

Scoring Explanation

Personal Rating: Purely subjective. After the test, each participating editor was asked to rank the SUVs in order of preference based on which he or she would buy if money were no object.

Recommended Rating: After the test, each participating editor was asked to rank the SUVs in order of preference based on which he or she thought would be best for the average consumer shopping in this segment.

Personal rating is purely subjective.

Recommended rating - the average consumer is Joe Schmuck with a family.

The Expedition was also the least expensive truck in our test and we think it's the best-looking as well. Got a family? The Expedition's got your number

And the Expy got half as many votes...

In terms of Evaluation, Feature Content, and Price, Expedition has a 56.675 compared to the Toyota's 54.58. Pretty subjective review if you ask me :p
