Even if it's less reliable than a Honda, parts are friggin cheap. Now that excludes all the SRT-4 upgrades on it. I have a buddy who had a 2000 Neon. He used to beat his and it still ran great. Somehow he managed to pop a freeze plug outta the engine one time. He got it towed to the shop, they put a new plug in replaced the coolant and off he went. Another time he somehow managed to bottom it out on a driveway apron where there was a puthole and ripped the whole radiator crossmember off and tore the radiator open. I guess his shocks were toast before that and it had been riding real springy. Anyway, they welded in a new crossmember, replaced the radiator, he had I repalced the suspension on all four corners and off he went again to kill it. The thing that finally did him in wasn't even him beating on the car. He got tboned from behind while making a left turn. Bent the hell outta the roof line so it was pretty much totalled at that point. So as far as cars go, I'd say you could do a whole lot worse. Salvage title does make me nervous though. If it was stolen why the heck wasn't it returned to the original owner? Unless the guy who stole it is the one you're buying it from! Mad shady!
